It is with heavy heart we sadly share this past week one of our players Lukas Dickerson lost his father. His father was only 41 years young and passed away last week with health complications. It is absolutely devastating for the entire family to have this loss come at a complete surprise. But it is especially devastating to Lukas. We know how much Lukas admired his father, looked up to him and just loved to spend time with him and make him proud. His father was at every game... he could be at, very supportive of Lukas and all the RLL players and was a great father. Because we are still in challenging times with Covid-19 we are challenged with physical ways we can support Lukas and the family. However, we would like to collect Cards from any teammates, members of the league and families who would like to get or create one to show your condolences for the family. Keith Lane has generously offered to collect any condolence cards for Lukas and his family as he is a family friend and Lukas' coach. If you would like to send a card to Lukas and his family, please mail or drop off these cards to Keith Lane's house at the address below by Wednesday 7/22/20. 3605 Contempo Dr. Sacramento, CA 95826 Additionally, Lukas's mother has created a GoFundMe account to help with funeral costs. Any support is truly appreciated and all additional funds will help support current educational funds (keeping Lukas in Capital Christian) and college savings funds. Please read her message below: This year has been truly a rough year but it has come to a devastating turn as of Saturday July 7, 2020 my son has lost his Father and my daughter has lost her forever bonus dad. These two were Kasey's world. I understand these are uncertain times and tight circumstances but we were unprepared for his passing and it would mean the world to Lukas and Skylar to give Kasey a memorial service to help honor their amazing father. This was not COVID 19 related. I give the biggest thank you and much appreciation in advance. Don't ever hold back to tell a person you love them, or your thinking of them, or that you can just do it tomorrow. Live life to the fullest. You will never be forgotten and your memory will move on forever. See you on the flip side. https://www.gofundme.com/f/dnav2 Thank you for any support you are able to provide to Lukas and his family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during these times. Russ Wilson RLL League President

Hello Rosemont Little League Families, We hope you are all staying well and safe right now. We cannot begin to express how grateful we are that you have been so patient and understanding as we have been navigating our way through this unprecedented and difficult time. After tirelessly working toward saving our season, we were informed by the Cordova Parks and Recreation Department that they are yet again extending their order to keep the parks (and baseball fields) closed th...Continue reading

A message from our league president: Hello RLL families, We hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe as we are all trying to make the best of these challenging times we are all facing. As we have now reached the original May 11 deadline imposed by Little League International for the suspension of our season, I know all of you have many questions about what is next and what is going to happen with our baseball season. Here is the latest update that we have been given fr...om LLI, as well as, District 5 and local authorities. Little League International has decided to lift the suspension of Little League activities. They have, however, stated that we must still adhere to our local health department regulations. Also, because of the different regulations within the United States, as well as travel restrictions for international teams, there will not be any Regional tournaments or a Little League World Series this year. So, what does that mean for us? It means that we will be able to resume practices and games as soon as the state and local health departments and park and recreation departments allow. There will not be an opportunity for our All Star teams to have an opportunity to compete in the Little League World Series that we watch on TV every year. Right now, D5 is looking into other opportunities for our All Star teams to be able to play in a district wide tournament, but we will need to wait and see what happens. More importantly for all of us, when can we start letting our players get back on the field? The good news is that our local health department has stated that we will be able to resume modified practices as long as we are adhering to social distancing and disinfecting recommendations. HOWEVER, the park district has informed us that the fields are closed through the end of May. We have diligently communicated with them the measures that we are proposing to keep everyone safe, and they have tentatively approved our proposal. Because of this, we are optimistic that we will be able to resume practices June 1. We are keeping in close communication with the park district and health department, and we will make sure to let everyone know when we have any more information. Our hope is to be able to resume practices June 1 and start playing games by the end of June, but, as we have all learned the last 8 weeks, the regulations and recommendations can change quickly. Please know that your board of directors are working hard to get these kids back to playing, and we want to give them all the best possible experience we can this year. We know this has been a long arduous process for everyone, most importantly our players. It looks like we are finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you to everyone for being so patient and understanding as we all make our way through this season. Russ Wilson and your RLL Board of Directors

Please continue to keep an eye out for this young lady. She is still missing! Her family is part of our little league family. We just want to see her come home safely. Nai-Li was last seen wearing a black t shirt with red images on the side, grey sweats, and black and white Reboks. She did not have any bag with her as far as anyone knows.
