**SIGNIFICANT PERMIT INFORMATION** Attention Marin County Building Contractors: Beginning March 1st, 2021, licensed and unlicensed individuals performing construction activities without first obtaining the required building permits will be reported to the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB https://www.cslb.ca.gov/ ) for investigation and possible prosecution.... Construction activity that is performed without first obtaining the proper building permits is a violation of the California Building Standards Code and is adverse to the wellbeing and consumer protection of property owners. Therefore, Beginning March 1st, 2021 when County staff observe a licensed or unlicensed individual performing unpermitted construction on a job site which has been posted with a Notice of Violation (Red Tag), our Code Enforcement Team will be referring such individuals to CSLB for action. As you may be aware, this could have repercussions for your license with CSLB. Henceforth, we strongly encourage you to ensure all proper permits have been obtained, prior to commencing, or continuing, construction activity. Bet you didn't know behind the scenes (yes even on a Saturday of a holiday weekend) we continue to ensure we have safety protocols in place to protect our team members, our clients and ultimately our community! Good plumbers are hard to find ... we believe in taking care of them!! Now with COVID-19 we have much more to worry about ... so we check our "kits" to be sure they are stocked ... stocked with hand sanitizer, wipes, Lysol spray, masks ... we ensure a clean mask is ...provided daily, timesheets with COVID-19 safety check worksheets attached! But even before COVID we trained and trained and trained for the unexpected and the safety of our team. Bet you didn't know in a small family environment you don't have a Human Resource Dept, a Field Service Manager, a Safety Manager, a Fleet Manager, a Dispatcher, a COVID Specialist ... but rather you have a place with heart and enough grit to ensure that you take care of your team first and foremost!
