Meet Itzia! Itzia has been in dentistry for over 5 years and is extremely excited and passionate everyday about assisting patients with their treatments at our office. She has expertise in all types of cosmetic and general dentistry services. Outside of work, Itzia loves to go on hikes and cooking. Her favorite meals to cook are pastas and Mexican dishes. Meet Janine! Janine has been a hygienist since 2011. She graduated from the Chabot Dental Hygiene Program. Her passion is educating patients about their dental health and motivating them to get healthier smiles. Meet Michelle! Michelle has been a registered dental assistant for over 20 years and has been a part of the team of Dr. Burg and Dr. Koida’s practice since 2007. She thoroughly enjoys working in the dental field because she likes meeting new people and always looks forward to making her patients’ dental experiences better . Meet Chrystal! Our hygienist on Mondays & Wednesdays graduated from hygiene school in 2004. She has been working at our office since 2004 with both Dr. Burg & Dr. Koida. Striving to help patients achieve and/or maintain great oral health is her main goal. Working to improve oral hygiene techniques and encouraging regular check-up visits. She also enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, cooking, watching the SF Giants and taking road trips.

Meet Mara! Mara has been a registered dental assistant since 1992, and joined our team over 10 years ago. She loves the work and enjoys meeting new people. Meet Tresa! Tresa is a registered dental hygienist and has been a part of this dental team for over 19 years. She is also a part of the professional organization representing the East Bay as their Trustee at the state level of the California Dental Hygienists Association. In her spare time, Tresa is also involved in both of her children's schools as an executive board member on the PTA. She also enjoy family hikes, camping & reading.

Meet Dr. Burg! Dr. Burg was born in Oakland and grew up in Castro Valley, where he and his wife Sue, presently reside. He attended Chabot Community College in Hayward and the University of California at Berkeley. He spent two summers at the University of California at Los Angeles doing dental research. Dr. Burg graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1973. He has practiced in Oakland for 44 years. In August of 1969 he married Sue. They recently celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary. Sue was the office manager for over 30 years. Dr. Burg and Sue have two children and five grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their family, as well as volunteering at their grandchildren's elementary schools for many years. Dr. and Mrs. Burg have traveled world extensively and especially enjoy cruising adventures.

Meet Dr. Koida! Dr. Lindsey Koida received her DDS degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2006 and completed her residency in General Dentistry at UOP, bringing her back to the Bay Area. She completed her undergraduate schooling at UC San Diego, graduating with both a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology. Dr. Koida has been practicing dentistry since 2006, and has been working in Rockridge alongside Dr. Burg since 2007. She is happy to be serving this great community. D...r. Koida has a conservative approach to dentistry, and is focused on preventive care and overall long-term health. Her main goal is to provide the best care possible for her patients with a common sense attitude and a sense of humor. Dr. Koida grew up in the Bay area, raised in the small town of Sonoma and attending school in Napa. Dr. Koida is passionate about volunteering, including a volunteer dental trip to Cambodia in 2015. Her hobbies include traveling as much as possible, trying new local restaurants, and spending time with family & friends. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Alameda Dental Society.

Meet Sandy our office manager! At our practice we know it starts and ends with the people you're with. Our team is like our family! Sandy has been a central part of the team of Dr. Burg and Dr. Koida’s practice since 2004. Learn more about Sandy below: Sandy was born in China and moved to the United States at age 9. After working in a dental office during high school, she realized her interest in dentistry. Sandy began her dental career over 20 years ago as a registered de...ntal assistant. Her current role now is the office manager. She enjoys helping and interacting with patients. She loves to find ways to help people smile and that includes building confidence to share their smile!
