This is Mylo! I’m a good boy, and I love my hooman- Maria Ono! Our #morningcircleofgratefulness is the most important part of our daily routine even during this #saferathome time! Today, our own Maria Ono wants to share: There’s always something to be grateful for every single day. in times like these, we need to pay more attention to what is important in our lives. right now, there’s no better time to rest physically, mentally, and emotionally on the demands of the previo...us normal. 1. I am grateful for the roof over my head. I have my family to rely on instead of just myself, it reminds me that I’m not alone. 2. I am grateful for my parents and their health. 3. i’m grateful for my pet dog, Mylo! He is the light of my life, and he brings so much joy to everyone around him. 4. I am grateful for each breath I take when I wake up. Waking up every morning is a blessing. 5. I am grateful for the extra time I have now. The allotted time has given me the opportunity to get back to the time I feel lost when I was spiraling just into work and school. I am trying to go back to my inner child and see what I want to do, not just what I should. Not everyone is lucky to have time like this to themselves so if you do, do not take it for granted. Some advice to cope with this Pandemic: 1. keep your emotions under control and feel what must be felt. 2. except the changes that come with having a new normal. Changes are inevitable, their transition to a more developed an innovative world. 3. Use the time to help your physical, mental, and emotional health. 4. Do things you enjoy and find new things to do. Do not get bored, boredom is indicative. you do not get bored if you’re doing something enjoy. 5. Spend time with those you care about. Ever since I’ve been home, I’ve realized that I missed being with my parents. Use this time to bond with those close to you and more. We are the #bestclassrkr, and we hope everyone is holding on to hope and optimism! Together, we will endure, and together, we will fight and overcome! #quarantinelife #cpptogether #saferathome #thankyoufamilymeal @ Collins College of Hospitality Management

Our RKR’s #morningcircleofgratefulness is the most important part of our daily routine even during this #saferathome time! Today, our own Earl Castro, wants to share: I am thankful for 1) waking and rising this morning, 2) the hope that I hold in my heart during these uncertain times, 3) the creativity and passion that i’m investing my time in, ... 4) meditation, yoga, and my plants at home, 5) this opportunity to go inward and learn more about myself. and... Some advice that is working for me during this difficult time 1) allow space and time, and disconnect from excessive social media and negative news, 2) give yourself time to rest, not everyday has to be productive during quarantine, 3) listen to your body, and honor its needs, 4) connect with the ones you are with and those away, 5) DANCE! Turn on some of your favorite music and just be yourself! #bestclassrkr @ Cal Poly Pomona See more

During one of our morning circle of gratefulness and appreciation, we dedicated our team huddle to James Yokoyama, our most amazing Student Advising Coordinator. We look up to James for his kind, loving, and optimistic personality. He never failed to put a smile on our faces, he is one of a kind, we love James and we are lucky to have him!

Family is an important thing, it’s everything, and family means no one gets left behind, or forgotten. Our @calpolypomona, @thecollinscollege, and @rkr_cpp family will always be here for each other, through thick and thin, through all the noise surrounding us all - that beacon of light. @ Cal Poly Pomona

RKR fans! We are sad to announce that we are closed until further notice due to recent events. We just want to take a moment and thank all of our loyal fans for the love and support this semester! Our students enjoyed all the fun we had, and truly, our loving fans make us who we are! Until we open our doors again, stay safe and sound! Here is the very last quote our student managers shared with us, Tough times don’t last, tough people do. Let this be the mindset that will guide us through these challenging times! @ Cal Poly Pomona
