Ashley Blount has been one of our Birth Clerks since March 2018. Shortly after joining Riverside Community Hospital, she began nursing school at West Coast University - Ontario. Working at RCH has helped confirm her dream of becoming nurse. She says all of the staff at the Family Birthplace, especially the nurses, have been so supportive throughout her nursing school career. She appreciates all of the support particularly on the weeks where all hope seemed lost and she just wanted to quit school. The nurses helped keep her motivated and focused on the end result. She officially finished nursing school on November 1st and will be taking the NCLEX this month. We are so happy for Ashley Blount BSN, (almost RN)! #nursing #Congratulations @HCANurses

Even in the midst of all that is going on with COVID, the staff at Riverside Community Hospital jumped at the opportunity to give back to those in need during the holiday. Two of our RN leaders, Melody Herron and Clay Lamela spearheaded a toy and food drive in partnership with the Inland SoCal United Way and the Greater Inland Empire Black Nurses Association to give back to our community. In addition, our Physical Therapy department collected $350 to give towards the drive a...nd presented a check this past week. A special thanks to the team at RCH who gave to help the families of our community have a happy holiday.
