Truth: No matter how far I might run from God, when I turn back to seek Him, He is always there, waiting like the mother or father of a teenager on their first car date, anxiously yearning for the teen to return to safety. That's what Moses told the Children of Israel 4,000 years ago: "But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul" (Dt. 4:29). I don't know about you, but being able to return to God of me feels like pure GRACE.

TRUTH: Seeking God brings healing. From Genesis to Revelation, God is all about healing. Conversely, ALL diseases, untimely deaths, discouragements, periods of depression or despair, etc., have a lot to do with Satan (in cooperation) with our flesh messing around with us to get us off track from seeking the manifest presence of God. King Hezekiah was a good king who had a heart for His people and as such was a model public servant. When the Israelites veered away from God, fo...rgetting Him, they got into trouble. Sometimes the trouble manifested in a disease of some sort. The Bible says that King Hezekiah prayed for his people."... saying, 'May the Lord, Who is good, pardon everyone who sets his heart on seeking God...And the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people" (2 Chron. 30:18-20). Good medicine is a blessing from God; so is seeking Him first good medicine. See more

TRUTH: God never intended for success to be illusive. He's not hiding success from any of us. He is no respecter of persons. God is good. He intends for every family, every corporation, every nation to have success. Success is not something we spend a lifetime searching for. Success is at hand --- at God's hand. As covenant partners with God through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary, God wants to share true success and prosperity with us. During the early yea...rs of King Uzziah (ages 6-18), a prophet by the name of Zechariah TAUGHT the young king HOW and WHY a leader (whether the leader of a family, or a business or in government) must seek God. After the old prophet Zechariah died, Scripture says, "As long as King Uzziah sought the Lord, God gave him success" (2 Chron. 26:5). You and I need to be TAUGHT HOW and WHY to seek the Lord. That's what the Church is supposed to teach. Come be with us for a great celebration of Jesus and His Word this Sunday at 10:30 at River Bluffs Church, 465 E. Champlain (Valley Oak School), Fresno, CA 93711. We'll TEACH you how to seek the Lord! See more

Truth: A family or a city or a a business or a nation can dream big dreams ONCE AGAIN and build big projects ONCE AGAIN if first they return to seeking God. Remember this story from 2 Chronicles 14? When King Asa led Judah in an ambitious building program to secure the nation's safety, he said in effect, "We can do this! We can restore our country to safety. We can rebuild the walls around our borders because we have sought God." King Asa encouraged the people, "Let us build up these towns...and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought Him and He has given us rest on every side. So they built and they prospered" (2 Chronicles 14:7).

Truth: When God's people in any nation on any continent at any time in history seek Him, God is "found" once again by them, bringing them back into a position of blessing and healing and favor. That truth is promised in 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
