At 6:15am we were notified that the forward spread of the park fire has been stopped at approximately 600 acres. The majority of which is within the city limits of Chico. Firefighters will be on it for a few days mopping up hotspots. Good job to our firefighters: Chico FD, CAL FIRE, and our many partners, who battled and contained this fire event. We are so grateful for your service and protection of our community.
