We are now accepting applications for our After School Program. Please stop in the Elementary Office to pick one up. (If your child is currently in the After School Program it was sent home with them today) They are due June 18th, and there is no guarantee spot. You will be contacted in mid August if your child is accepted.

Exciting News: Mrs. Willits 3rd grade class won 1st place and Ms. Steiner's 7th grade class won 3rd place in the Humboldt/Del Norte Sum Dog Contest! Oscar Tovar, 7th grader, received 1st place as an individual student, Emilyn Wilson, 3rd grader, received 2nd place, and Moriah Gregory, 7th grader, received 3rd place. Great job Rio Dell Schools!

DISTANCE LEARNING FAMILIES: Distance learning packets can be picked up MONDAY, JANUARY 4TH ANY TIME AFTER 8:30AM. No packet pick-up tomorrow! This change is only for this packet pick up/drop off. The packet day after this one will be on Friday, January 8th. Thank you for being flexible and understanding!

Winter Break is upon us and with the new County Public Health Guidance we are requesting that if you travel/gather to please plan on a 1 or 2 week independent study depending on when you travel or have a large gathering. Please notify the SCHOOL OFFICE by TOMORROW, FRIDAY DECEMBER 18TH if you will be needing an independent study. This information will be sent home with your child today and we ask that you return it signed and check the appropriate line by tomorrow if you are in need of an independent study.

Thank you to Shotz Coffee for bringing coffee to our schools on Thankful Thursday! It was a nice treat and brought a smile to our faces.

What a fun morning! Since we couldn’t parade through classrooms we did it through town! Thank you to the community for supporting our kids! A special thanks to Rio Dell Fire Department, City of Rio Dell, Dollar General, and Rio Dell Family Resource Center for spoiling our kids along the way!

Mrs. Johnson and I, Ms. Bryie, are the luckiest bosses in the to work with such amazing teachers, instructional aides, office, kitchen, and custodial staff. Rio Dell Is the best place to work! #pantherstrong

EXCITING NEWS: HCOE received a $500,000 contribution from PG&E for supporting technology needs for schools in our county. Rio Dell is excited to be the recipient of 46 chromebooks. With this donation we are now able to have a device for every student in grades 1st-8th! Thank you HCOE and PG&E!
