Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship

We’d like to give a big warm welcome to our newest member of the Ride On herd, Gus! Gus is an APHA gelding with a background in western riding, trails and kids lessons He’s a bit on the older side, but it isn’t slowing him down anytime soon! He’s fit right in to our lesson program from walk lessons to canter lessons, and is already a new favorite in the barn. Gus has an extremely gentle, sweet demeanor that makes him a great confidence builder and a welcoming horse to learn on. He’s already made some friends in the turnout, and has settled in wonderfully We’re so happy to have him join the herd!

Ride On is excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual free Networking Day on Feb 14th, virtually of course! Join us for some educational and inspiring presentations and discussions, gain some Continuing Education Hours and catch up with your peers! Calling all pumpkin carvers! We’d like to invite you to participate in a Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest with us, 2020 style! The theme is Ride On You can see an awesome Ride On logo themed pumpkin here that one of our riders carved in the past, but the contest is not limited to the Ride On logo feel free to put your creativity to the test! The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges here at Ride On, and win a special prize! The deadline for submissions is Friday October 30thtag us in a photo or video of your entry on social media, or email your entry to [email protected] The winner will be announced on Halloween, along with photo reveals of all submissions!

Fabulous to see some of our amazing Newbury Park volunteers at our reimagined awards picnic on Saturday. It was great to be able to hand over their awards and we were super excited to announce Dawn Der Manuel as our Newbury Park Volunteer of the Year!

Dear Fabulous Volunteers, We hope this post finds you safe and well in these continuing crazy times. We are missing our riders and patients that still cannot safely come back, our fundraising events, our horse shows, CALNET, Trailfest, and most importantly we are missing YOU! We cannot get to the end of the year without thanking you and seeing you in person so we would like to invite you to our Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, 2020 style! Please join us for a socially ...distanced visit with the horses and staff, and to pick up some Ride On volunteer swag! For those that have reached the service hour milestones we will be recognizing you with the traditional awards. We will also be announcing the Volunteer of the Year for each location. Volunteer celebrations will be happening at the Chatsworth ranch on Saturday October 10th and Newbury Park on Saturday October 17th, from Noon until 2pm. For social distancing reasons we will limit the amount of folks that can be in the barns at any one time. If you cannot make the date at the ranch you regularly volunteer at, please feel free to visit the other facility. If your last name begins with the letters A-M please visit anytime between Noon and 1pm. If your last name begins with the letters N-Z please visit anytime between 1pm and 2pm.
