Another very successful mission trip to Kenya by Dr Michele Gladstone and the Benjamin Wellness Center in PA. Many people's lives were made more fulfilled by Michele with the help of our one step dentures.
We were at the Central Arizona Dental Society Mission of Mercy free dental clinic this past weekend. With Jay Smith and the Global dental Alliance, using our Larell One Step Dentures, over 140 dentures were completed, start to finish, most in about an hour. Many dentists volunteered to help make this a very successful event. Many ecstatic people getting their smiles and having a new lease on life.
From Michelle Gladstone DDS When Peter Mbugua traveled from Kenya to study at Philadelphia Bible School, he had a dream of improving his own life and the lives of those he left behind. Lacking fundamental health care services, the villagers in his remote community of Gatamaiyu were obliged to travel great distances for medical treatment that was too often unaffordable. Dental care was nonexistent. With the help of his family and generous support from volunteers and donors..., Peter ventured back to Kenya and brought his dream to fruition. Today, the Benjamin Wellness Center serves the Gatamaiyu community, providing access to quality medical care for all in need. Mothers receive prenatal care, children receive immunizations, diabetes and high blood pressure are routinely diagnosed and treated. Dental care, however, is only available once a year, during annual medical camps. This is where the dream needs you. After three years of cleaning, filling and extracting teeth as a volunteer at the Center, I brought the first Larell dentures to Gatamaiyu in 2015. Lives were transformed overnight. It is difficult for most of us to imagine living daily life without teeth. The challenges of eating, speaking, getting hired for a job. The embarrassment, shame, low self-esteem. What is not difficult to imagine is the high cost of dentures. Even routine dental treatments, familiar to us all, can be expensive. A full set of upper and lower dentures costs approximately $150 per arch, totaling $300. Last year, we successfully transformed the lives of 23 people by providing 43 dentures in 8 days. Sadly, dozens more had to be turned away, deprived of an opportunity for improved lives and restored dignity. My goal now is to expand our reach, providing more services to more people on our next trip in January 2020. It is no exaggeration to say that sponsoring a patient for one denture, a full set, or other essential services will change their life forever. The impact of your generosity will be immediate and long-lasting. The recipient of your gift, grateful beyond imagining. Dr. Larry Wallace has been supporting the Benjamin Wellness Center denture program since 2015. His Larell dentures have been changing the lives of people all over the world.
She will be smiling more for pictures this Christmas! #GDAteam

Article from the May 2019 Issue of Dentaltown Magazine highlighting the 2018 Arizona Mission of Mercy in Phoenix sponsored by the Central Arizona Dental Society and Foundation. Do Good: Mission of Mercy - Helping Thousands in Need Photography and article by Kyle Patton, associate editor, Dentaltown magazine Home > Dentaltown Magazine > May 2019 > Article ... Dr. Lawrence Wallace and Liat Furyan-Banach flank a patient who just finished his treatment to receive a full set of dentures. Wallace, the creator of a one-step denture system, was volunteering for the fourth time. The need for dentures was so high that all available times, spaces and resources were depleted before the first day of the clinic was finished.
A very successful Mission of Mercy clinic in Modesto last week. Over 100 dentures were done in the two day clinic. Lots of smiling faces and happy patients. We even made the live news.

Larell is going international. Recently one of our prosthodontists took The Larell One Step Denture to India to demonstrate it at a dental school in Ahmedabad. It was well received and we are looking to do a pilot project there soon.
We were thrilled to be at the Monterey Bay Stand Down this weekend where we provided twenty homeless and in need military veterans with dentures. This is the first time dentures were being offered to the veterans. Many smiles and very happy and grateful vets. We are hoping to do many more in the future. Here is one of our patients with the volunteer dentist who created the denture, all in about an hour.
