Asking for a friend. A friend has space for 1-2 horses in a beautiful, private setting on private property near Lodi, CA. This would be ideal for an equine re...tiree or someone who likes to trail ride. Beautiful setting, very private, horses fed 3xday and turned out, beautiful outdoor sand arena. Please PM me for more details. See more

Meet Cresendo he is one of our retirees in our program and is under our retirement plan. If your looking for a good retirement plan for your horse that you have had for a long time or a show horse that needs to go into a retirement that provides the same level of care of show horses. We also have the knowledge and experience of dealing with older horses that need the special care and attention. My first horse lived until he was 34 and my mare that I have owned since she was a... year and half now 24. Went through a bought of laminits, cushings, insulin resistance and last year some rear diseases that probably caused the laminitis and cushings. I have rehabbed her through out all her illnesses using strictly holistic medicine. She has been back to riding this last year. Cresendo is a 18.1 Warmblood that ended his career a little younger due to soundness issues. We pulled his shoes so we can get some more blood and circulation going in his legs and feet. He was a process to transition but it was worth all the extra care to ensure the most comfortable transition. Hes more sound now and is now exercising with no added boots. We just started him up to cantering in the last two weeks. We have slowly increased his exercise especially since he was in layup for over a year just hand walking before he came to us. Hes gotten a lot of curry comb massages, accupressure along with a little bit of bodywork that I do myself. Its really helped him calm down and relax in the last month. Hes been with us for close to five months he came from being a jumper and layed up. When he sees the arena hes in his jump game. I am sure he was a magnificent jumper in his day and is now learning for the arena to be a place of play and relaxation. We are moving the business working with more retired horses and kids lessons. Please contact us with any questions. We have a full team of traditonal vets, Osteopath, massage therapist, barefoot trimmer, healers who share practioner and I am currently taking classes to become a practioner so I can test horses myself that need support in there healing. Also use the training as a added bonus to working with difficult horses.

The picture is a little graphic but speaks the truth of what can happen when you leave halters on. It is so important to make sure you take your horses halters off even during turnout, liberty and at anytime the horse is loose. Horses hooves can get stuck in the halter I watched it happen in a documentary. The horse went completely three legged lame on the hind leg after they got him loose. I understand there's certain circumstances where a halter may need to be left on and its worth investing in a leather break away halter. Its still not what I would recommend but usefull as a temporary situation until a horse is halter broke or can be caught. Be safe!

We are shifting the business to working more with kids. I absolutely love working with youth and teaching them the fundamentals from the ground up. I feel there is missing a really good western program for kids that also teachs natural horsemanship and liberty for kids that want to learn that deeper connection with the horse. They will learn about there energy and how it relates over to the horse. Breath work is important so many times we are holding our breath without being ...concious of it and building a connection with the horse. The horses are amazing mirrors and teachers that can open kids up to learn more about themselves. Energy awareness is the first step. We are a firm believer to take it slow and really get a solid and firm foundation on the ground and in the saddle. Safety always comes first in our program and setting the kids up for success. If your interested please pm. I am starting my advertising on my personal pages first to give our followers a first chance. Then I will be reaching out to the public.

This is my passion working with the difficult cases. Through clients horses I have patience and can see thru what we are achieving. The process and forward movement. My horse that I took over ownership recently has a lot of stuff to undo and I have done a lot using my box of tools. He's came so long but we had a set back last year that really brought out some deep fears. There's been points of frustration and not understanding but with guidance I am learning so much from him that's raking me in farther as a trainer understanding the horses voice. Going through the process is giving me a better understand for my clients what feels like road blocks are blessings in disguise to reach up to the next level.

Happy Valentines! Wishing everyone an amazing and beautiful day! For some extra cuteness for the day here is my working student Aubrey doing some liberty work with Savvy. I have always said he would be an amazing liberty horse to train I just don't have the time with a full training barn. I told Aubrey have fun and play with him see what evolves. He's getting ready for a young student to learn ground work. He's the perfect size for kids to learn with his size. He ...just loves the kids! Have a beautiful day! Love every moment and find the deep peace within your heart space. Sending lots of love out! Huge thank you to @aubreybarnard for all your help and love you bring to the Rhinestar team.

Paps We played with the ball yesterday and learned a new trick! This guy is such an amazing liberty horse. He comes up with his own tricks and I just go with it! I just realized I baby talk with him! I was so proud of him when he showed me what he can do it immediately goes into that tone. ... I'll be sharing more video shortage we are working with a few babies! Looking forward to sharing there progress. Babies are so easy once they understand the release of pressure and giving them lots of processing moments. They learn so quick and theres not a lot of traumas or past that your having to do un-do. It's like working with a clean slate. If there is any un-doing it's pretty quick since it's not fully engrained within there consciousness. Babies can also go down not a great road in the wrong hands. It's so important that you get good help. #rhinestarperformancehorses #rhinestarhorses #playtime #newtricks #funwithhorses #naturalhorsemanship #partnership #groundwork #confidencebuilding

I have a horse in my barn with a tongue like this it breaks my heart that someone would do something like this but as preventative we must be the change and teach the difference. This is one of the many reasons why I chose cowboy dressage that emphasizes on soft feel. Having my back ground in natural horsemanship and my number one goal when I was young is how to get a soft and light horse. I went to so many clinics in my teenager years the answers were twisted snaffle, bigger... bits, cee sawing, bump, bump, bump and I tried all those with success for a short time usually and no success with other horses just making a stronger mouthed horse. It wasn't until 2004 when I watched a natural horsemanship clinic and I saw a whole different light. What I saw was lightness can be achieved in a snaffle no twisted wires, no ported bits, no tie downs, no draw reins, no side reins, no martingales just a plain comfort snaffle. It changed my life and my relationship with my mare. In 30 to 60 days I had a completely different horse. Through out my training career I put everyone in a snaffle and theres been about 5 percent of my horses that I end up putting them in a nice ported bit after putting a good foundation on them in the snaffle bit. Those horses love the ported bits but I also ride with soft hands and teach my students the same. I have also heard this kind of tongue damage is caused from twisted snaffles that people that cee-saw. I did see it happen with a trainer when I was growing up. At the time I really didn't know what to think about it I was probably 12 maybe even younger but it didn't feel right. That's one my passions teaching children so we can influence kids there is a different way.

Such a beautiful last day of the year at the barn! This year hasn't been an easy year but we did it! Between the mess of it all I am so thankful to still be in business and continue my passion working with these amazing creatures! My mare has had a rough time with the cows and although we have struggled with her health this year she's gotten to have a lot more turnout time and getting to watch the cattle day in and day out. She's definitely so much more confident around th...em. It's important to find the positives while going through the tough patches. Papi started out the beginning of last year with taking a big step back. We are seeing a huge shift in him and am so proud of him working through his fears. I am really looking forward to see what this year brings him. When I look back at where each horse was in the beginning of last year to now its amazing to see the changes and growth with each horse especially being in the middle of a pandemic where the energy overall was chaotic worldwide. Trying to stay centered and grounded within all of it. Not getting sucked into the fear and just being smart taking the needed safety precautions. I am looking forward going into the new year with a renewed energy, new beginnings and continue our path to renewed health and wellness. We learned a lot this last year and taking what we have learned into the new year and having a better understanding of what we are all going through together as a collective! And come together energetically instead of seperation. Take a deep breath and let go of 2020 with love and compassion. Hold your head up high and open your heart to the endless possibilities. To the new year!

Wishing everyone a beautiful Christmas week! It's not been an easy year for so many with all the unknowns. Within this Christmas break I hope we can all find the peace within our hearts and forgive ourselves for this years hardships. We have made it this far and all will be ok! We can look forward going into the new year and let go of those challenges so we can embrace the new! ... It's important to remind ourselves we are human and try to do the best we can in that moment. It's OK to make mistakes. Wishing everyone peace, joy and to find that balance within again! My spur straps of 18 years finally had there last day when a horse stepped on my spur and the leather broke. I got myself a new pair of spur straps. I originally purchased light brown feathered straps and @teskeys was out of stock until end of January. They gave me this option and I loved the bright colored feathers. It was time to bring in some new cheery colors into the new year! I absolutely love them! Thank you so much @teskey_weatherfordtx #rhinestarperformancehorses #rhinestarhorses #thesimplethings #christmaspresent #balancewithin #merrychristmas #thankful #blessed #horsetrainer #libertytraining #joy

I feel the same way as a trainer. A lot of horses are misunderstood or trying to communicate there pains whether it's emotional or physical. It's so important to take a step back and say what do we need to change or shift. Really take a deeper look at ourselves and the horse.
