Posting a picture I took last night at 7:30 pm and directly across the street from the Capitol. It was the last night of session and even though both houses were working through, barely a soul in sight. Just not the same. Wild legislative year and even wilder end. Made my first appearance inside the State Capitol during these times to testify and weigh in on a few bills today. Been doing most everything by phone and email, but today necessitated a little more. It felt good to be back, but not going to lie, it was strange and even a little depressing to see it so empty. Been a part of this institution (in and out) for almost 25 years...and never would have imagined. Special thanks to the Sergeants for running a tight ship but with smiles on their faces. Good to see them again and hope to see them and all my colleagues again soon. Until then, stay safe everyone.
