Hello RGC sisters and friends! Although we have concluded our Women's Fellowship "Contradictory Harmony" series, the learning doesn't end here! That's right... we've got SUMMER Women's Fellowship lessons coming right up! For this summer, our theme is "Discovering True Peace." This theme is going to be SUPER beneficial as it will help us understand what true peace is and what that looks like practically in our lives! It'll teach us to be unshakeable in our faith and li...ve a life of peace knowing who God is, so that we can fight off anxiety, discontentment, emotionalism, strained/difficult relationships, or any difficulty we encounter in our lives. Our first lesson will be taught by Michelle on the topic of "Peace with God" on July 11 at 11am after service! It's going to be a great summer learning together about what true peace is and where it comes from! This past Sunday, the men got to dive into the meaty Word of God as we talked about The Necessity of Brotherhood as we enjoyed a variety of meat fresh from the grill! Here’s what one of our men, Renny, thought of it: "During RGC’s Meet & Meat event, we enjoyed sweet fellowship over savory meats! We were also fed spiritually from the Word with a lesson on the definition of brotherhood, where Joseph C. taught that Christian men are brothers since we share a common source of s...piritual life. Brothers are also born for adversity (Proverbs 17:17) and so we ought to sacrificially serve and love others in the midst of the spiritual warfare in which we are currently engaged. I came to better know the men and the concrete steps they’re planned to take in order to practically apply what we’ve learned. This was an amazing kickoff event for the summer, and I’m very excited to continue learning and growing alongside my brothers through mutual transparency, accountability, and encouragement!" At our recent summer women's event, Kainos Summer Tea , our sister Sabrina Y. gave a sweet devotional on the blessings that Christians have in their election and adoption as laid out in Ephesians 1:3-6! Here's what our sister, Lisa, learned and wants to apply from the devotional: "Spiritual blessings come from God and He CHOSE us before the foundation of the world. I want to apply this by living a life with overflowing gratitude and seeing each aspect of my life as a gif...t, realizing that I didn’t choose God, but that ultimately, He CHOSE to love me and CHOSE to make me His child. I am wanted and CHOSEN by the God of the universewhy would I ever live my life with anything but gratitude? This gratitude protects me from living a life that is discontent, but to a life that is effective and useful to the Lord." Praise God for the amazing blessings we have of election and adoption because of Christ!

Men, this is the moment you have all been waiting forthe second Men’s Fellowship Lesson The Feminization of Men! Are there an infinite number of possible genders? As men, we are given the role of leading, teaching, and protecting those around us by God Himself. We are called to be MEN of God; a privilege indeed! RGC hosted it's November Doubt Night on 11/6 answering the question "What is justice?" Check out this testimony from our sister Vanessa: "At our last Doubt Night on What is justice?, I was absolutely blown away by how God’s standard of justice contrasts so starkly with the world’s view of justice. Justice is righteousness applied, where God sets the standard of moral purity and justice comes from Him, and every individual is held accountable to this standard. When we have... such a perfect standard of justice from God, why would we want a counterfeit justice - social justice? As Sheng drew out the illogical inconsistencies of the world’s thinking today, it saddened me to see how man can so easily twist and mar the view of God and His truth. It stood out to me that social justice mars God’s redemption because it diminishes Christ’s work on the cross since they don’t think what Christ did is enough to bring us together. This makes me think about just how powerful Christ is in uniting the church by His precious blood! I am all the more courageous and zealous to share the Gospel knowing that my brothers and sisters are united with me, of one mind and spirit!" See more

This past Saturday, the women learned about how to put off the fear of man and how to have joy in fearing God at the Cornerstone event, "Reverence: Joy in Fearing God." It was a wonderful time to learn from God's Word, especially how the fear of man turns us into slave of men, the fear of man renders us ineffective, and how the salvation of God brings us to our true purpose, which is to have a joyful fear and reverence of God. Here's what Michelle learned! "I really enjoyed t...he lesson, especially learning about the severity of the sin of fear of man- that it is idolatry, pride, and selfishness- and it is slavery to man. I am someone who has a lot of fear of man, and many of the manifestations that Joanna mentioned (e.g., perfectionism, anxious toil, being easily embarrassed, etc.) were true of me. I want to be growing in thinking Scripturally, to not leave God's Word without a very specific attribute of God to meditate on and to look for how that attribute is true throughout the day." Yesterday, we had the privilege to continue in both of our Focus Ministry Classes, one focusing on the book of Judges and the other focusing on the book of Ezekiel. Here’s a testimonial from one of our sisters, Jenn, about what she has been learning in the class! "I was really encouraged by the Ezekiel class today to think that the whole purpose of my life is to know and reveal God! We learned that God reveals Himself through His Word, but He also chooses to reveal His Word... to others through His people! Ezekiel's entire life was used by God to send a message to the people He had chosen but rejected Him. Though I am not a prophet, it is still my responsibility, joy, and privilege to know God better through the reading of His Word so that I can make Him known to the world and minister to those whom He has sent me to. This makes me want to live a life above reproach and be much bolder about my faith to family, friends, and classmates who are hardened towards the Lord but need His saving grace so much." Hello friends, We hope you are all having a great week! Our Children's ministry has been thriving and we were able to have a fun event for kids called Halloween Children's Storytime recently! This past Saturday, we had a blast at our QTD Kickoff! QTD stands for Quiet-Time Devotionals. As a church, we read through a Quiet-Time Devotional book to enrich our knowledge of God and build our discipline of drawing near to know God more daily! We also have a memory verse packet that has verses derived from our Quiet-Time readings so that we may store up the Word of God in our hearts. One of our men, Bruce, gave a lesson on Daniel to spur us on as we kicked off another yea...r of QTD’s. Here’s a couple of words from one of our brothers, Michael: "Daniel is truly a man of God. He demonstrated a firm resolution and a strong dependence on God through prayer all day. He remembered God's word, and His promises and took them to heart. Now that's a man I want to imitate! I'm excited to grow a lot this year through QTD's this year!" Have a blessed day!
