Sheriff's Community Impact Program 02.07.2021

Did you know we recently rebranded to Project Lifelong as a part of our efforts to strengthen our mission, connect with our community, and carry out a vision of service to youth and families? Project Lifelong will still be operating under our same tax ID number we have had since 2011, and we will continue to work seamlessly with our community partners to deliver programs, such as SHOCK, to Sacramento area youth. Please Like, Share, and/or Follow us at our new page, Project Lifelong

We are forever grateful to the California Capital Airshow (CCA) and their outreach efforts of Positive Altitude. This video is a throwback from a few years ago, but we wanted to give a little love to CCA for bringing such a powerful program to our youth. Today (May 16th) would have been our annual trip to Mather Jet Center where kids like the one in this video (flying an airplane) would have had an experience of a lifetime. We have joined Rancho Cordova Police Activities Le...ague - PAL since this program began. Positive Altitude is one of our favorite events! We know the past couple of months have been challenging for everyone. We know making the decision to cancel Positive Altitude this year was not an easy one, but a necessary one, and one that took into consideration the health and well being of our community. We are looking forward to next year! Until then, to everyone who makes this event possible, thank you. Sacramento County - Government City of Rancho Cordova Government

We are still thrilled and on cloud nine from Big Day of Giving. We wanted to share our utmost gratitude towards those who created fundraising pages and advocated for our vision! It feels so good to go into #bdog2020 with a family behind us. We learned that more than $10,000 of our day was raised solely because of your fundraising page efforts, Thank you!

What an incredible day for the entire non-profit sector in the Sacramento area we are grateful for having this opportunity to be a part of something so big so connected so epic! Thank you Big Day of Giving With just under a few hours to go, Sean Latour and Michael Saigeon held their traditional 9pm #BDOG2020 meeting to discuss the day’s events, and to determine goals to close out what has been an overwhelmingly successful day. You can check out their conversation here it’s great when these two get together.

As we wind down the dinner rush and push towards the closing hours of Big Day of Giving, we have a must-see post for you. Whether or not you have time to read the heartfelt message from Sean LaTour, (Project Lifelong’s visionary and program director), it was important to share this Lifelong post - important because it demonstrates WHY we do what we do at SCIP-PL. Who better to share our message than a young man who started in our program at age 12, and is still in our progra...m today as a leader, and a mentor. Our programmatic charge is rooted in delivering unique experiences for youth throughout Sacramento. While programs like skateboarding, outdoor adventure, boxing, and SHOCK all serve as a vehicle for personal growth and transformation, one of our chief goals is to keep our youth connected to their community. A donation before midnight tonight towards our efforts is a big deal, but it is also an investment towards our future - it gives us the opportunity to intervene, positively engage, and/or reconnect with our youth participants, thus changing the trajectory for many of our kids. Thank you for being there for our kids - such a big day. If you would still like to make your donation, there is plenty of time. Click here to empower our youth: www.bigdayofgiving.org/sacscip

It’s almost 6pm... look how close we are to a huge milestone. Is there a generous person who loves our youth as much as we do who can take us over the mountain???
