This last year has been so brutal for me and so many others. I am a proud Wife and Mom with three little girls (9,5,2) Salon Owner, the, Founder, Designer, Manager, Employer, sometimes Electrician :/ and a Full-Time Stylist at my four-year-old salon re:TREAT Color and Hair Design Studio, with three shutdowns taking a way 5 months of our year's income and much more, it was very hard not only to be going through but as an Educator for a leading and inspiring brand in our Indust...ry where my job is to help stylist behind the chair to inspire them to live and create a better life for them and their businesses, at times it was very difficult to see myself with the ability to do so mentally and emotionally. But I got through it, most of us got through it in one way or another we survived and found ourselves smiling again. It might have been covered up by our masks but it was there and the energy from that smile could be felt by those around you. That is powerful! The moment I was able to open up again it was like I took a happy pill. I felt a need to bulletproof myself from the darkness that I felt and the lack of control I felt over that feeling. I started creating and dreaming up a whole other side to my business that could grow even if salons were shut down. A way to still connect with people and serve them and to help create a re:Treat at home in their own space. It has been a gift to my soul to have the happiness and the ability to be able to cultivate this and share it with so many more. In the darkest times, we must find light and happiness in what we still have, what we can do, and what we can give to others.
