On this last day of Pride Month, we mourn the lives lost in the Trans community - too many were the lives of Black and Brown trans women. Join us in honoring the lives of those reported and not reported and continue to fight for an end to violence and discrimination, for equity in sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice! #RepresentationMatters #BlackTransLivesMatter #BrownTransLivesMatter #PrideMonth https://www.hrc.org//fatal-violence-against-the-transgende
Like and follow Access Reproductive Justice's new facebook page While you're at it, check out their merch and make sure to support Access - they work to serve marginalized communities of color through practical support and abortion funds throughout CA!
June 19, 1865: Over 150 years later, we still battle with white supremacy as Black lives continue to be disproportionately affected. This past year has taught us the importance of unity in creating change, what are you doing to continue the fight against racial injustices in your community?
Happy Friday and Happy Pride Month! Checking in to ask: What have you done to honor, support, and celebrate our LGBTQ+ communities? Here are some of many sources we've gathered: https://linktr.ee/ccrf
We stand with Paxon Smith. Her courage and boldness is heard across the country, we demand abortion rights! Please listen to her powerful words https://www.npr.org//high-school-valedictorian-swaps-speec
BREAKING President Biden kept his campaign promise and just released a budget without the Hyde Amendment. YOU DID THAT! Our 130+ orgs coalition DID THAT. We l...ove to see #AbortionJustice in action. #BeBoldEndHyde We know the harm of the Hyde Amendment falls hardest on people of color working to make ends meet. Biden’s #BeBoldEndHyde move prioritizes racial equity and economic security and we are HERE FOR IT Now, all on Congress to keep going for #AbortionJustice and pass federal spending bills without abortion coverage bans, including the Hyde Amendment. #BeBoldEndHyde
Worker rights are also reproductive health rights, protect families that have already been disproportionately affected. Tell your legislators we need #paidsickdaysnow. Send an email at https://bit.ly/paidsickdaysnowCA. We have to hold our lawmakers accountable and urge them to take action to protect workers!

The biggest barrier her low-income Black and Latinx patients face is "the plague of white supremacy that has sickened this nation for hundreds of years and has manifested anew during the COVID-19 pandemic," writes Ana Delgado of UCSF Bixby Center in Business Insider http://bit.ly/3cRyAJE
Black Women For Wellness, wishing you a restorative weekend
Thankful for the Me Too Movement - #metoo , National Women's Law Center, and TIME'S UP for holding space for Black survivors during this time. We must give Black survivors the dignity, respect, and care they need. "Historically, justice for survivors has been a virtue almost exclusively bestowed upon cisgender, white, able-bodied women. Black survivors who report sexual assault or violence are less likely to be believed than their white counterparts. Our stories are often q...uickly discarded as lies before they are even fully heard. Black survivors are not afforded the level of attention, care, and impartiality that we deserve and problematic media and cultural depictions fuel a culture of disbelief that pushes survivors further into the shadows. Moreover, internalized shame about sexual violence has us apologizing and making space for the harm-doer without addressing the harm done or centering the survivor." Black History is US History. #BlackHistoryMonth #BLM http://ow.ly/XeIE50DrLsI
Protecting our democracy is critical in our fight for reproductive freedom!
R-90 has passed in Washington state. It now requires all public schools to teach age appropriate, inclusive, and comprehensive sexual health education for K-12 students #approve90
Updates on reproductive freedom in the US: Prop 115 was defeated in Colorado to keep abortion bans out. #NoOn115
Voters choose new leaders to move us forward together toward a better future. We did not let anything get in the way of voting and we will not let anything get in the way of our votes being counted, so the person we have chosen is the one sworn in as our president.
Happy Election Day! I am so inspired to cast my vote today. For me, elections are a family event. From researching the issues to filling out the ballot and making our way to the voting booth. Today I am change-maker! VOTE, VOTE, VOTE. Need help at the polls? We compiled VOTER GUIDES from CCRF Members: https://reproductivefreedomca.org/2020-voter-guides
"I'm baffled by the division created in our American society in just four years. I'm pained by the many lives lost to injustice. Our liberty is challenged now more than ever; my vote this year is for the voices that won't be heard." - Angeline Wong, CCRF Vote 11/3! #BLM #IVoted2020

Are you mad? Take action and donate to CA only RJ abortion fund, Access Women's Health Justice, and to our funds across the county: Carolina Abortion Fund, Access Reproductive Care-Southeast, Inc., and The Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, to make sure we keep abortion access REAL for communities across the US. Donate to your local abortion funds and vote, vote, vote!!!
We must keep fighting. Our sexual and reproductive rights -among many other rights- are in danger. This brings us so much pain, we deserve our freedom!
The political climate has us concerned for sexual and reproductive rights and freedom in our country. Bodily autonomy is not negotiable, we need to advocate for legislation that supports that. If you're able to vote, please vote! https://reproductivefreedomca.org/2020-voter-guides
