EVERYTHING you need to know about lip filler after-care Use an ice pack or an ice cube covered in cloth. This will help with sweeping, itching, bruising Avoid heat because it can draw blood to the surface of the injected skin and cause irritation and prolonged swelling... Stay hydrated to help the healing process quickly and to keep the skin plump and healthy Use lip balms with natural, very soothing ingredients to keep the lip soft and hydrated (you will notice the skin peeling gently as the lip is producing more skin bc of increased volume) Do not exfoliate, but if you must, please use a very soft cloth with cold water or a gentle balm Use Arnica to heal excess bruising and swelling Avoid flying just in case the air pressure causes increased swelling and/or inflammation (wait 3-5 days) Eat foods LOW in sodium, sugar and spice and consume foods HIGH in water and vitamins. This is a great rule-of-thumb in general so your body is optimally hydrated and toxin-free! Do not drink through a straw for the 1st day as this puts pressure on the lips, and alsoavoid smoking ;-) Do no drink alcohol for at least 24hrs post treatment Try not to sweat or cause strain to your body for at least 24hrs Avoid excess sun & blue light so your lips can properly heal and stay balanced
