A Reiki study done at the Helfgott Research Institute at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon showed that Reiki has a measurable e...ffect on the immune system. This study examined the effect of Reiki on the white blood cell counts of volunteers who were randomized into three groupsthose who received Reiki, those who relaxed, and those who neither received Reiki or relaxation. Blood was drawn for examination before the treatment, immediately after treatment, and four hours after treatment.
