Your son/daughter should have shared the CRC (course request card) with you. If they haven't yet shared the CRC then please ask them to take it out of their backpack and review the content on the card.... Students have been directed to return the CRC back to school tomorrow, February 14, 2019. There is a student and parent signature required. Students should select three elective choices by placing a 1 by their first choice, 2 for their second choice and 3 for their third choice. Please send me a message if you should have any questions. Hello Redwood Families, I am resending this information to our families. We have a new date scheduled for parents who would like to volunteer at Redwood. Parents who sign up to chaperone field trips must go through the process of being fingerprinted. The new date is Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 8-10 am here at Redwood Middle School. Parents who are interested in signing up to be fingerprinted should either call or email my admin assistant. Her name is Victoria Cardon...e, email is [email protected]. Her phone number is 253-3415. We need a minimum of 20 parents in order for PhotoPro to come to our school site to fingerprint our interested parents. Your cleared fingerprints will be accepted throughout your child's school career in NVUSD. The cost is $25.00. Our PFC is offsetting the cost by 50%. Usually, the cost to be fingerprinted is approximately $50.00. Please let us know if you are interested as soon as possible. Currently, we have had 9 parents respond to this message. We wanted to remind all our families that school is back in session tomorrow, November 26, 2018. We are also hosting an evening for our parents on Tuesday, November 27th at 6 pm. We will meet in the library. We are offering three different educational sessions. The sessions will be offered in English and in Spanish. The sessions will include the following topics: The Dangers of Vaping, Understanding My Child and the Use of Social Media and ECHO as our Learning Management... System (how do I support my child's progress with their learning). We look forward to seeing our students tomorrow morning as they return to Redwood Middle School. Fingerprinting for parent volunteers at Redwood, Good afternoon Redwood Families, We are currently lining up the date of Monday, November 26, 2018, from 1-3 pm as a day for parents to get fingerprinted if they wish to volunteer at Redwood. This would include chaperoning any field trips for your children. PhotoPro is willing to come to Redwood to provide this service for our school community. The cost is usually $50.00 per person to have this process implemented. Our PFC i...s offering to pay half of the cost to keep the overall cost down for our parent community. Thank you Parent Faculty Club. As a school community, we want to continue to offer ALL students enriching opportunities to take field trips off campus to broaden their academic learning and overall view of the world. Hello, Redwood Middle School families, I want to both inform and reassure you about an unauthorized person on our campus yesterday. Twice yesterday, in the afternoon and in the early evening, a man was escorted off of our campus by our school resource officer. In both instances, no students were injured or threatened. However, after the second incident, the Napa Police Department arrested him for trespassing.... As you know, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. We don't allow unauthorized people on our campus during the school day. Visitors are asked to sign in at the front office and obtain a visitor badge, which should be visibly worn while on campus. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to keep this person off of our campus. You can help us out by talking with your child and reminding him/her to report anything that looks suspicious to a trusted adult. Ms. Trott's 8th grade social studies scholars participated in a Socratic Seminar. They had to discuss the following questions: Question 1: What is the most interesting fact/ detail about your historical person's background? Explain Question 2: Would the two historical people you researched get along? Explain. Question 3: Do you think your two historical people would agree or disagree regarding when a revolution is justified? Explain. Question 4: Pick one of your historical people and explain whether or not you agree or disagree with that person's beliefs enough to join their revolution?
