Redwood Empire BMX

Work Day this Saturday and Sunday (June 26th and 27th) at the new location in Samoa, 9am-3/4pm both days, just past Dream Athletics on the right! Come out and help rake/mow/weedwhack/groom our track! Bring weedwhackers/racks/tools if you have them and let's work to get our recently built track looking nice! ... Helpers and volunteers will be able to ride track after workdayso helpers, feel free to bring a bike! We hope to have an update/opening date soon! Stay tuned! This is another great opportunity for our BMX community! There is a very real possibility of having a track in McKinleyville. How rad would that be!!!!??? Details below with the zoom link : On January 6, 2021 at the regular meeting of the MCSD Board of Directors, the Humboldt Skatepark Collective, on behalf of the BMX Community, will be seeking approval of a Right of Entry & Design Agreement for a BMX track in McKinleyville, on the currently undeveloped MCSD property at S...chool Rd. and Washington Ave. If approved MCSD will apply for funding to construct the park from the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program. The grant application is due in March and in preparation for the application, we are seeking public input.

It’s been a crazy two years and we couldn’t be happier to hear the cadence come out of our new Progate Safety Gate that is being shipped here as we speak!!!! We want to send a HUGE thank you to The Danco Group, Bear River Casino Resort, and Progate to help get a safety at gate at Redwood Empire BMX! Although the track is still in the process of being built out in Samoa, we are happy that we can finally start to see the light at the end of the tunnel on this project. We ar...e hoping things get back up and running early 2021. Fingers crossed... Also, a big thank you goes out to our BMX families for their patience and trusting our board to do what needs to be done to get the track back up and running...we miss and appreciate you all!!!!

People are using the open space/track that is located next to the Samoa Cookhouse. This is not associated with REBMX. There will be a workday/community meeting Saturday March 14th 10am-2pm. Go out and check it out!

While we patiently wait for all of our permits go through at our new location the folks in McKinleyville might be also developing a track. How rad would that be to have 2 tracks in our county !? Go check it out ........
