The huge waves this morning - Jan 10th- are filling up the Gualala River. It is very high and full of foam and debris. It seems to be flowing out at very north end. The sandbar is now very wide in places. Clearly keep safe and away from the ocean waves today.

Big surf today - Saturday January 2nd. The Gualala River is pretty full. At least it is pretty clear to not walk on the beach.

The Gualala River is very full this morning. This may be the day it starts flowing into the Pacific. Some big waves with a few coming over the sand bar. Please be careful and keep off the sandbar.

It was a beautiful morning along the Gualala Bluff Trail today. It was amazing to see and hear the huge waves and see them washing over the sandbar. There were even some deer walking along the river. A local song sparrow posed with a strong look at the photographer. Volunteers were working to keep the trail clean.
