Many of you have asked if we are open on July 4 and the answer is... YES! Come enjoy fabulous views of the Bay and explore the historic Red Oak Victory ship. Bring your own 4th of July picnic to set up on deck while listening to jazz vocalist Jeovani Abenoja. No advanced ticket sales are required. Just show up and purchase your tickets at the door. All ticket purchasers receive a special coupon for $2 off on a glass of wine at Riggers Loft Wine Company which is right on the other side of the parking lot from Red Oak Victory. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Dori is the ship's photographer and webmaster but she is also a real swabbie!
Only a couple tickets left for our Father's Day event! Take your dad on a tour of the engine room, we know he will love it!
Just one week ago the Red Oak Victory YouTube channel shot past the 100 subscriber mark. This morning we have 168 subscribers! We think this phenomenal growth is because there are videos on that channel that are fun to watch and informative. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD4MNksjTe_tZxGiJAfZ_UA
If you want to please Dad, buy him a ticket to tour the spectacular engine room on the Red Oak Victory on this Father's Day, June 20. The complex, historic machinery in all-original condition is something any Dad will love. See the photo with this post-- now isn't that super-cool!? Tickets with a full docent-led tour of the entire ship, including the engine room, are available for $20 each. But act quickly! There are only ten engine room tour tickets remaining! (Engine r...oom tours are limited to those 12 years-old and above.) If engines are not your thing, general admission tickets for Father's Day are available for $10 per person. That includes a self-guided tour booklet so you can walk all around our historic, World War II cargo vessel and see the bridge, galley, mess rooms, holds, guns, the Captain's cabin, radio room and much more. Bring your own picnic brunch to enjoy on deck while listening live to the vintage sounds of the Lovin' Harmony Trio. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.bit.ly/ROVFathersDay.
In the first 24 hours of the Double My Impact campaign, sixteen donors contributed over $1609. This brings our matched donations total up to $6200. Thank you to our generous supporters from the entire crew of the Red Oak Victory!! Donate www.bit.ly/ROVdouble
Richmond Shipyard No. 3 a merchant ship takes shape from Life Magazine Archive The Kaiser name is forever linked to the ships of World War II. By 1942, his company stretched over the continent in various manufacturing industries.
This Time Your Donation Has Double the Impact! A donor has stepped up and agreed that for every dollar donated to the ship we will receive a matching donation in the same amount, up to a total of $10,000. This means we could bring in as much as $20,000 to help your favorite Victory Ship! Your donation will have DOUBLE the impact that it normally has! As of today, our donor has matched recent donations of $1,400 and that means we have already made a $2,800 dent in that $20...,000 goal. Want to Triple Your Impact? Many employers will match donations made to non-profits. Check with your company benefits manager today and see if you can submit this donation for matching funds! Donate www.bit.ly/ROVdouble
Introducing our latest video on the Red Oak Victory YouTube channel, "The Story of the Red Oak Victory". This short video covers the history of the ship from her 1944 launch up to today's service as a museum ship. The video was made possible by the Rosie the Riveter Trust and was directed and edited by Ethan Sawyer from Bay Area Media Masters. https://youtu.be/E6lI7jNDg2o

Many of you who visit us ask about the big building directly across from the Red Oak Victory. That building is the General Warehouse for Shipyard No. 3 and here is a fascinating look inside: https://www.manolmanolovphotography.com//richmond-genera/
