COPIED FROM ANOTHER CCW PAGE: Good story and lesson. How do you advise LE of your defensive tool in your vehicle? My first time getting pulled over since I've had my CCW for over 6 years. CHP in Riverside. Bought a new car and the dealer forgot to put on the temporary plates. I was very interested in how my first interaction would be. Well, it was about the most underwhelming moment ever. He came up to the car and started talking. When he stopped I responded with I di...d want to let you know I’m a CCW holder (while my hands were at 10 & 2 on the steering wheel. He said ok and literally said nothing more about that. He then asked for my license and I pulled that out. Behind my license is my CCW. I started to grab it and said did you want this? To which he said, no, and something like don’t go for yours and I won’t go for mine (but not those exact words. He did ask where my gun was located and I replied on my right hip. He took my license back, came back with a warning, and away I went. It was a great experience and the officer was very nice. Again, I was a little surprised to see how he didn't want to see my permit, ask anything about the gun, etc. I'm actually thinking they are running into more and more citizens having them and it's getting more and more common. We will be presenting the Advanced Defensive Pistol Class on Saturday, January 30th from 8:00-noon. This class brings your self defense shooting skills to a hig...her level by teaching you how to quickly and safely draw your handgun from concealment, use alternative sighting techniques, introduce movement into your reaction, efficiently reload your handgun, clear malfunctions, and much more. You will fire approximately 200 rounds of ammunition in the class. We have limited quantities of ammunition available for sale for use at the range during this class. The cost of the class is $150.
