Are you still feeling social media OVERWHELM? For many in the insurance industry, the internet has either been a blessing or a curse. We've all been inundated with emails and posts signaling the urgency to "Strengthen your online presence!" "Boost your FB posts!" "Grow your followers on Instagram!" "Make TikTok work for you," and let us not forget about the tweeting, blogging and vlogging we're supposed to be doing. All of this can prove overwhelming for an insurance agency. ...So, what do you do then? The worst thing you can do is post once or twice on all platforms and then never post again. The best thing you can do, if you don't have the time (or the energy) to create and curate content for several platforms, is to choose ONE and post consistently. For example, if you decide to create a Facebook page for your business, then you must also make the decision to allocate the time it takes to post on your page. Don't make it hard on yourself. Start with posting at least three times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. "Yeah ok, but, what should I post?!?" Give customers a look into your office, your team, let them know that you're open and excited to help them out. Share other people’s posts that you think are relevant to your industry and helpful to a client. There is plenty of content out there. There are also companies that you can hire, for affordable prices, to help you with social media management. If Facebook isn't your thing, focus on increasing your reviews on Google. Since you are no doubt providing STELLAR service to your customers, they should have no problem giving you an excellent Google review. Mention it every time you sell a policy. When a customer expresses their gratitude and satisfaction with your service, ask them if they could post their enthusiasm in a Google review. There are several platforms out there that can help you gather reviews via text. At the end of the day, what is important is that you feel good and comfortable about the platform you choose to share your message on.
