THRILLED to now be a gallery member of the New Art Dealers Alliance. I have long admired NADA and its inclusive, community building good work. So pleased to be officially aligned. @newartdealers
Fantastic Genevieve Gaignard works now on view in ‘Altered States’ through 23 July. Link in bio to schedule your visit! Genevieve Gaignard Está Entera (She’s Whole), 2018 Chromogenic print... 30 x 45 inches 76.2 x 114.3 cm Edition 1 of 3 Genevieve Gaignard Lace Front Lawn, 2017 Chromogenic print 24 x 36 inches 61 x 91.4 cm Edition 1 of 3 Genevieve Gaignard is a Los Angeles based artist whose work focuses on photographic self-portraiture, sculpture, and installation to explore race, femininity, class, and their various intersections. The daughter of a black father and white mother, Gaignard’s youth was marked by a strong sense of invisibility. Was her family white enough to be white? Black enough to be black? Gaignard interrogates notions of passing in an effort to address these questions. She positions her own female body as the chief site of exploration challenging viewers to navigate the powers and anxieties of intersectional identity. @creativecurvyginger @vielmetter @garysimmonsstudio

Works on paper will be rolled out sequentially over the course of five months as the artists respond to the years’ political and social experiences. WOW! A beauty morning visiting the phenomenal exhibition ‘We Have Teeth Too’ at the Berkeley Art Center. Loved it, loved everything about it. @berkeleyartcenter @nataninotah
Beautiful porcelain sculptures by Marie Herwald Hermann in our project space. Spotlighting ordinary, functional objects, Hermann gives weight to isolated moments of significance by creating boldly saturated, impeccably rendered domestic items that highlight the automatic nature of modern life; the things owned and used without notice. On view by appointment through 23 October. @m_t_hermann @reyes_finn
Rebecca Camacho Presents is pleased to announce MANUAL, an online exhibition of new works by Leilah Babirye, Stephanie Crawford, Max Jansons, Sahar Khoury, Claire Oswalt and Vincent Valdez. With clear indications of hand and process, works on view interconnect through their visually and physically tactile worlds. The first presentation of @8bridges_galleries is now live. This initial offering foregrounds exhibitions from committee galleries: @altmansiegel, @fraenkelgallery, @...friendsindeed_art, @gagosian, @jessicasilvermangallery, @pacegallery, and @ratio3, as well as Rebecca Camacho Presents. Future presentations on the platform will launch on the first Thursday of every month and will include an evolving roster of galleries and contributors. In addition, each month the platform will highlight the crucial work of a Bay Area non-profit arts organization as its beneficiary. An initial contribution is led by Phillips. This month, we feature @moadsf, a contemporary art museum celebrating Black cultures and learning through the lens of the African Diaspora. A series of panel discussions under the rubric Bridging the Bay Area Art World is planned in conjunction with the platform. The inaugural event of the series, a Zoom panel with Alison Gass (Director, ICA San Jose), Julie Rodrigues Widholm (Director, Berkeley Art Museum), and Jay Xu (Director, Asian Art Museum), will be chaired by Dr. Sarah Thornton on Wednesday, October 21st at 6pm. Please save the date. Special thanks to our Ambassador Committee and Sponsors. @babiryesculptor @stephaniecrawford1942 @saharkhoury2010 @maxjansons @claireoswalt @vincentvaldez77
