Are you Ready for Books, Prints & Paper? Visit Our 2021 On-Line Fair, February 12-14! sfbookandpaperfair.com The San Francisco Antiquarian Book, Print & Paper Fair has been one of the premier West Coast fairs for many years. The 2021 in-person Fair was unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic, but we have high hopes of returning in February 2022 at the South San Francisco Conference Center. In the meantime, we are offering an on-line Fair on February 12-14 with many of our usual exhibitors participating. Dealers will be listing new arrivals and featured selections for you to browse in the safety of your home, and you can deal with them directly by e-mail or phone with questions or to make purchases. A list of exhibitors will be available on February 7th, with the on-line Fair beginning on February 12 at 9 a.m. Enjoy!
Happy National Bootlegger’s Day !! During the 1800s, the term bootlegger came into use in the Midwest. The word described the act of concealing flasks of ...liquor in a boot top when going to trade with Native Americans. The term found its permanent place in the American vocabulary when Congress passed the Eighteenth Amendment prohibiting the manufacture, transportation, and sale of alcohol in 1920. #printsoldandrare #antiqueprints #bootlegger #bootleggersday #moonshiners #prohibition #whiskey #kentucky #history

A new for the engineer or just history!
Welcome California!
Robin Rawlings Wechlsler is a long friend of the SF Book Fair. She creates wonderful photos that show us our cities and our world and our people. Enjoy!
Wellcome Library, Londra. See more
More sad news: looks like some of the Panama Pacific Exhibition 1915 equipment has been lost at Swanton Ranch.
Here is the cover of a promotional pamphlet from the International Footprint Association to visit San Francisco. It is filled with pictures both bridges being built, and a lot adds.
