On this project for California State University Stanislaus, we have the awesome opportunity to recondition the originally installed handrail from the library. The original wood railing was removed and stored on site for almost two years. As you can tell from the photos this hardwood is in dire need of restoration. Decades of use has taken its toll - and it needs to have a complete sand, repair, glue and re-finish done. With a custom profile and radius wood all the sanding ...and repair has to be done by hand.
