With our school year coming to a close, we want to recognize all the hard work of our Class of 2020 Drama Seniors as well as the Cast and Crew of Zombie Prom who lost the opportunity to perform their amazing show due to COVID-19. This week students were surprised with care packages delivered to their homes!

Anyone have a senior who will be continuing to college and studying performing arts? The Oceanside cultural arts foundation has extended its art scholarship app...lication deadline to Friday. The scholarships are presented to graduating high school seniors furthering their education in performing arts, including theater, music, and dance. Online submissions can be sent to [email protected]. This can include teachers recommendations, as well as the student application form. Visual arts applicants can attach photos of their work. Performance applicants can send a YouTube link. The scholarship package can be mailed to OCAF , P.O. Box 3054, Oceanside, CA 92051. Visit ocaf.info/Ocaf-scholarships.

Dear Parents, Friends, Patrons and Boosters: It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of RBVHS Zombie Prom production, set to open March 18 with our Gala. We will be rescheduling the production for some time in May. We are asking for patrons to wait on requesting refunds at this time, if possible, and you are able to attend the production dates in May. This will help reduce costs to the drama department with fees from showtix4u.com that is charged to th...e department for their service. If you are not able to wait and know you will not be attending rescheduled dates in May, please contact us for refunds. At this time, we are in communication with Showtix4ucom regarding how to requests refunds for those that are not able to attend the rescheduled dates sometime in May. Please send your request to [email protected] for refunds so that we are able to keep a list and email those specific patrons. Please consider making a donation of the ticket cost directly to the Drama Department, to off-set our production's expenses (from rights for the show, set and costuming, choreography and musical directors for their time spent). If your student was planning to attend ITS Fest, the drama boosters will be refunding fees that have been paid through today. Since, VUSD will not allow field trips outside the district through April 30th. Please give us time to return funds and expect them no later than return to school date, April 6th.
