Since magnesium is one of the essential electrolytes needed for efficient hydration, we have a fun, relaxing way for you to stay hydrated Epsom salt baths! The Epsom salts, when dissolved in the water, release their magnesium which can then be absorbed through the skin. Simply add 1-2 cups of Epsom salts to a warm bath and soak it up. For additional benefit, add a drop or two of a high-quality essential oil to the Epsom salts before adding them to the water for some wonderful aromatherapy while you relax!

How clean is your water? We know the human body needs water for survival, but can your tap water be harming you? It’s a well-known fact that tap water can contain pollutants including chemicals that can cause major health issues. If you’re curious about the quality of your tap water, check out EWG’s Tap Water Database (www.ewg.org/tapwater) to find out what you’re drinking. You can also search for the best water filters to help you filter out those contaminants to ensure a healthier water supply in your home.

Let’s Talk: Nootropics Huh?? What is a Nootropic? Simply stated, a nootropic refers to a substance that can help improve cognitive function, memory, or creativity. But don’t be fooled - this term is often used to refer to certain pharmaceuticals, but we think nootropic herbs are a better option. Two of our favorite nootropic herbs are Ginkgo and Bacopa which is why we use them first when it comes to supporting cognitive function. So, if your brain needs a little boost, let us know and we’ll hook you up with the good stuff!

One of the most important things to consider when doing a detox is to make sure it supports the entire body - all the detoxifying organs and the detoxification pathways! Many popular cleanses focus solely on your liver which can cause more harm than good. So, make sure if you are doing a detox, you focus on one that is well balanced, supports all organs of detoxification, and comes with professional guidance along the way! This is why we offer the Standard Process 21 Day Purification and 28 Day Detox Balance programs! And even if you don’t join ~US~ for our cleanse, please steer clear of online cleanses that make big promises that often come with a price. For answers to your questions about a high-quality cleanse, let us know. We’ll help guide you to the right cleanse for YOU!

FALSE! While the liver is a heavy lifter for detoxification, many other important organs are also involved in detox! The kidneys, lungs, skin, and digestive tract are also vitally important for keeping your body healthy, and your detoxification pathways running smoothly.

Challenge: Meal Prep this week! Let’s carve out a little time to make the week easier! Who is up for the challenge?? Want to know what can make a crazy week suddenly turn into a calm one? It’s super simple by planning your meals ahead of time (aka Meal Prep), you’ll be able to relax, knowing your meals have been properly planned out. ... Meal prep can take different forms: batch cooking, prepared meals, and ingredient prep. -Batch cooking is preparing a recipe in large quantities (think servings of 6-8) so you have leftovers for another meal that week and/or portioning out and freezing the meal to eat a little further down the road (think next week or next month). -Prepared meals means preparing multiple recipes and pre-portioning the meals out into single-serve containers to be eaten over a few days’ time (or again, freezing it for later). This is particularly great if you are cooking for 1-2 people, or you want to grab and heat meals on hand for lunch or dinner. -Ingredient prep is ideal for those who like to make the meal right before eating it. This is all about efficiency when it comes to cooking by slicing, dicing, and chopping your ingredients ahead of time and popping them in the fridge so they are ready to cook when you are! Which one will you try?

Wondering what to do with mounds of Halloween candy that won’t leave your family sick and tired (or throwing tantrums)? Buybacks are an excellent way to support local businesses, especially dentists. The goal of a Candy Buyback is to redirect the excess candy away from kids in exchange for a treat or prize or even cash. The excess candy is then sent as a treat for different groups, like homeless shelters or our troops down range. Google your town name + Halloween candy buyback to see who is participating near you.

Ever wonder WHY sugar causes cavities? Our mouths, like our guts, are hosts to our human microbiome. This microbiome aids not only in our oral health, but in systemic health as well. A disruption in the crucial balance of this microbiome can lead to oral issues such as dental caries (cavities) and biofilms (plaque). Sucrose, or sugar, is a great disruptor of the mouth’s microbiome. So, when contemplating your consumption of sugar, consider these 3 variables: amount, frequenc...y and sugar type. Studies show the greater the amount and frequency, the greater the severity of cavities. Also, sucrose has shown to produce more cavities than other sugars like fructose or glucose. Bottom line keep your oral health high by keeping your sugar consumption low! Reference: https://loom.ly/NNJ9Cc4
