WE DID IT!!! WITH 950+ DONORS WE’VE RAISED $100K+ TOGETHER! We’re so proud to announce that the @AsianWomenAlliance Donation Campaign has surpassed our goal of raising $100K! Thank you to ALL our donors for helping us reach this milestone. ... AWA is an organized effort by our community, for our community every dollar, social share, and allied action has counted towards monetary support for AAPI causes and grassroots organizations. We’re thankful for the opportunity to be able to raise awareness and funds for AAPI initiatives and the leaders doing the hard work on the ground. We will provide financial transparency as we distribute the funds evenly among 5 organizations in alignment with our pillars: protecting marginalized AAPI women and our elders; driving social, political, and economic change for AAPI women and youth; and fighting Asian hate. 1. In celebration of Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, we commemorate the end of slavery in this country. It is important for us to truly understand the magnitude of what this day signifies as the fight for equality is far from being over. There is much work to be done. Swipe right to discover ways in which we can work together to become better allies for our black sisters and brothers. Together we are stronger.
