This #NationalWaterAFlowerDay we’d like to bring attention to eco-friendly California native flowers. One common misconception is that California native plants do not produce flowers, but in fact, California native gardens can produce flowers year round! Some examples include Marilija Poppy, California Lilac, and Fuchsia. These flowers require less maintenance while providing the necessary habitat for pollinators, birds, and other insects in our local ecosystems. Learn more tips and tricks here: RanchoWater.com/WUE

Did you know that Rancho Water conducts rigorous testing to ensure that your TAP WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK? Yet, we have been made to believe that only bottled water is healthy for us. The only water that is not made for human consumption is the recycled, non-potable water flowing from purple pipes that go to things like commercial landscaping, agriculture, golf courses, parks, etc. ... Other than that, your tap water is tested to meet the highest quality standards for consumption. A recent Huffpost article about the Bottled Water scandal states, Companies like Nestlé and Coke are taking the public’s water, putting it in a plastic bottle and marketing it, said Judith Enck, founder of Beyond Plastics and a former EPA regional administrator under President Barack Obama. Rancho Water is fortunate to have natural resources in our district such as our groundwater supply. This allows us to reduce the amount of dependency we have on importing water from other areas. This saves money and gives us greater stability for the future. We are THANKFUL for our natural resources. #SeasonOfThankfulness #Aquifer #Groundwater #RanchoWater #NaturalResources
