There are a lot of questions about what to do about court dates and appearances. Right now, the courts are still open and many are making changes to help with public health and safety due to Covid-19 (Coronavirus). While each court is taking different precautions and measures, we will be doing our best to keep you up to date on what you need to know.

At this time, many areas are seeing an increase in people and families out walking, riding bikes, and playing in their yards. We encourage drivers to take extra care and attention to help keep the community safe for everyone. Watching your speed and keeping aware that there may be children or pets in or close to the streets and driveways. When out, keep our pets leashed and remember to talk to young children about stopping and looking before they enter a street or other area where they may be cars. And when riding your bike on the main streets, use the designated bike lanes when available and always ride with the flow of vehicle traffic, never against.

As California is now under a statewide Stay at Home order, our office will be closed until further notice. At this time we will be doing our best to keep you and your case up to date though this time. Please understand that though the courts and offices are closed they are still processing emergency cases. However, many notices and processes at the courts are computerized and automatically generated. If you receive any notice, including Failure to Appear, please email our office and we will address the issue with the courts once the order is lifted. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

A successful week of trials in court. But the work week isn’t over yet! I'll be hosting a weekend round table discussion with other attorneys to address concerns about the State of California’s plan to change traffic violations from criminal to administrative to potentially keep people from being able to fight them in court.
