One of our best non-registered kunekune sows had 4 beautiful babies this morning. Two males and one female are black/ginger, the other female is black/white. All are well. Happy Farm.
Meet Ophelia, born this morning as the sole survivor of a litter of three. Her mom is full of milk and already doing all the good mom things. Update: piglets are healthier and happier when they have littermates, shelter, and mama’s milk. We don’t know why Ophelia didn’t survive her second night. We have two kune kune litters coming soon and are hoping there are enough for three sows to share.
Sometimes, a piglet doesn’t thrive like the littermates. This sweet girl is on our radar and got a warm bath today. After napping in the sun, she got her mama’s milk.
