ACTION REQUIRED BY FEB. 12: Intent to Return We are in the process of planning for the 2021-2022 school year. Part of that planning is determining how many students will be enrolled at each school and each grade level. We need to find out if your student will be returning next year. Please log into Parent Connect, via the PVSD website, to complete your student's Intent to Return by Friday, February 12, 2021. Please see instructions on how to complete the process below.... Your response is extremely important. If you do not respond, we will take that as a no answer and your student’s spot may be released for another student to fill. You do not need to respond for 8th grade students. To complete Intent to Return on Parent Connect: 1. Log in to Parent Connect thru the PVSD website: https://www.pleasantvalleysd.org/. Click on the "Q Information Systems" button under the home page slideshow. (If you do not have a Parent Connect account, please go to your student’s school office to get one. ) 2. Once you've logged in, click Update Information in the top right hand corner. Your student will be listed. If you have more than one student in PVSD, all students should be listed there. On the banner where each student’s name is on the far right is an Edit button, click that. 3. A list of options will appear on the left hand side of the screen. Intent to Return is at the bottom. Click on Intent to Return and answer the questions. Then click submit at the Upper Left. If you have any issues with this process, please see the office staff at your student’s school office. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in helping us plan efficiently for the following school year.

PVSD Update -- January 13, 2021 Dear PVSD Staff and Community, We are sending the weekly update early in order to provide our staff and families timely information regarding the status of distance learning. Last night, we received the newest set of COVID-19 infection rate data by zip code: https://bit.ly/35F7wca. The data shows we have met our PVSD metrics [https://bit.ly/3shyRuZ] to move into distance learning for a longer term. PVSD schools will remain in distance learning ...until our community meets the PVSD reopening metrics: https://bit.ly/2Hl8Yrj. Campus principals will communicate campus specific information such as the dates and times of any needed materials distribution. Student supervision and Child Care will continue to be offered. For more information on student supervision, please reach out to your school office. PVSD Child Care operates from 7am-8am and 10:30am-6pm, Monday Friday on all elementary school campuses. More information on any in-person instruction for small cohorts for our students with special needs and English learners is forthcoming. While I know most of our community will not be surprised due to our local infection rate being high, it is disappointing. I am thankful for your patience, comments, ideas, and support as we work through these circumstances together.
