What is Gua Sha? Gua Sha means to scrape for sand. It is a technique used in traditional Chinese Medicine to relieve muscle pain and tension. Regular use of gua sha on the face helps to tone the skin, soften wrinkles and promote skin elasticity. Facial Gua Sha is a safe and gentle treatment that can be used even on pregnant women. However, there are special cases where I would not recommend Facial Gua Sha and that is if you recently had fillers or botox done, experiencing local active skin infection or have cancer.
