A Thanksgiving message to our congregation Dear PHBC Family, Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day! Can you believe it? Although 2020 has been one of the toughest years, time still seems to be flying by. What a year it has been. I cannot express how difficult it has been for me to not be with my church family these past 8 months. This is a first in my 60+ years in the ministry and I've come to really appreciate the things we may have taken for granted at times. ... I sincerely miss standing at the pulpit and preaching the Word of God, seeing all of your smiling faces in our congregation, giving/receiving encouraging hugs, and simply having fellowship with one another. You never realize just how precious those moments are until you can't have them. While we all are doing our best to get through these perilous and uncertain times, we must also take time to remember that we truly have so much to be thankful for! Thanksgiving is a special time to reflect and count our blessings; to express our gratitude to loved ones, and, most importantly, to God for His unfailing goodness and grace in our lives! Though this holiday may seem a bit different this year, remember to give thanks. "Count your many blessings, see what God has done." Thank you, Lord, for always taking care of us and supplying our needs according to Your riches in glory. More than ever, I am so thankful to be your Pastor. Thank you, Church, for your wonderful calls and messages, for continuing to send your tithes and generous giving, and for being such a special people! I miss you all more than you'll ever know. I'm praying for the day that we can all safely be together again. What a day that will be! May you and yours have a safe, healthy, and Happy Thanksgiving! God Bless! Happy 65th Anniversary Puente Hills Baptist Church and Happy 41st Anniversary to our faithful Pastor Ted Trisler!! We have endured many trials and changes, along with tremendous blessings over the last 6 decades. We've been tested this year as never before, but the hearts of our incredible congregation are still mighty for the glory of God and going strong. Thank you, Church, for being such a special people!! What a blessed accomplishment and honor it has been to have Pastor ...Ted Trisler as the Shepherd of our flock for 41 out of the 65 years of our Church's ministry. Pastor, your love for the Lord and our people makes you a rare gem in this world. You have a heart of gold that is truly unmatched. Your faithfulness, endurance, wisdom, and genuine desire to win souls to Christ inspires us all. We thank God for you and love you more than words! Thank you to our Board for taking Pastor out for lunch to celebrate yesterday. May the Lord continue to bless our Church and our ministries with many more years to come for the furtherance of the Gospel.
