PUC is commemorating #juneteenth in the name of freedom. On this day in 1865, the announcement was made that tens of thousands of enslaved people in Texas had been emancipated. Today, the holiday serves as a celebration of African American freedom and achievement. This is a day to reflect on this promise while working to continue to enhance racial equality for future generations. Happy Juneteenth! #freedomday
