San Diego Police Officers Association has taken an official position opposing SoccerCity! Our local community relies on these men and women who bravely protect our community. We thank them, we appreciate their hard work everyday and we value their meaningful and powerful endorsement.
The Former President of SDSU puts another SoccerCity lie to rest The door was swinging closed on SDSU’s opportunity for expansion if SoccerCity moved forward. Now, with support sinking, SoccerCity is playing dirty with misleading TV ads that try to confuse voters into thinking their plan is supported by SDSU Leading SDSU organizations have already said No on SoccerCity - No on E! Thank you to the SDSU Alumni Board, Past Presidents' Council of SDSU Alumni, Aztec Football Legacy and Aztec Club!

SoccerCity's claim of bringing Major League Soccer to San Diego is an empty promise. Here are the FACTS:
Got endorsements? SoccerCity doesn’t. The out-of-town hedge-fund speculators continue to strike out while No on E (No on SoccerCity), is racking up endorsements from community-based organizations all over San Diego! From Labor and Firefighters to Serra Mesa Planning Group and Ocean Beach Planning Board, leaders and organizations from all political backgrounds are banding together to protect our city and oppose the out-of-town land grab!
A recent poll showed support for SDSU WEST is surging. The same poll proved support for SoccerCity has fallen off a cliff. The out of town hedge fund speculators behind SoccerCity recently spent $150,000 on their own polling... the results? Never made public.... San Diegans are figuring out the SoccerCity shell game: Make FS investors wealthy and stick San Diego taxpayers with the bill.
The San Diego River Park Foundation has voted to UNANIMOUSLY OPPOSE SoccerCity! The environmentally-focused non-profit said SoccerCity's lack of consideration for Mission Valley's natural habitat and lack of public input was insupportable. "The board is deeply concerned that SoccerCity avoided public engagement. These concerns were compounded when considering the immense environmental, economic, societal, and landscape values associated with this property."
Once an investor and partner in the SoccerCity measure, Padres General Partner Peter Seidler announced he is no longer supporting the flailing local measure. Since the release of the SDSU WEST (Measure G) initiative, support for SoccerCity has sunk to all-time lows, forcing local leaders to jump ship.
SoccerCity is no Free Lunch like FS Investors claim ~ UT San Diego In a leaked negotiation letter sent to SDSU, SoccerCity planners disguised the $150 million MLS expansion fee as land securing costs. Worse still, they tried to pawn these enormous fees off on SDSU, along with $40 million in Team Losses. THUMBS UP to say NO to SoccerCity.
SoccerCity said they welcome competition Now that they’ve got it from SDSU West their polling numbers are diving, and fast, with support shifting to SDSU West.
Add "sue-happy" to the long list of dirty tactics used by SoccerCity to take away San Diegans' right to vote on a citizens' initiative. Frankly, it's no surprise that they're desperate, as recent polling shows voters are sick and tired of the SoccerCity lie machine.
