Harbor Gateway WorkSource Center has a grant to assist the residents of San Pedro, Wilmington Harbor City and Harbor Gateway. The grant is specifically for... eligible individuals whose jobs have been impacted by COVID-19 (Laid off or experienced a reduction in hours). Work Experience (WEX) Grant: This grant will provide an average of 500 hours of temporary employment opportunities at approved work sites within our areas. State Approved Project Room Key worksites and other worksites being developed. There is funding for 20 participants.

There is an increase in daily cases coinciding with the reopening of several sectors & gatherings associated with watching sports and celebrating the Lakers & Dodgers victories. At these gatherings, people were without distancing or face coverings, transmitting #COVID19. This increase is cause for concern. In order to keep moving down our road to recovery, we need to reduce our community transmission, and we need our residents to do their part. Wear the face covering, stay 6ft away, don’t gather.
