How do you know when it's time to #rebrand? Rebranding is all about change. If your company has made any significant changes, it could be time to consider rebranding. However, rebranding can be costly and can confuse existing customers, so always assess if rebranding is in the best interest of the success of your business before you start. To rebrand, or not to rebrand? First, consider if any significant changes have been made in these areas:... The company message (mission statement, vision, values, value proposition, etc.) New ownership or leadership A new #marketing campaign, strategy or messaging The audience or target demographics have changed Your business is now producing new products different from your existing product line The company’s sales have become stagnate Partial or full rebrand? Partial rebrands can be as simple as updating your company’s visuals such as logo or #design. It can also be brought on by shifting your company’s focus. Partial rebrands are often inevitable for companies to remain successful and adapt to the times. A full rebrand should rarely be done perhaps only once or twice in your company’s lifetime. In a full rebrand, you may even decide to change the purpose of your company, company name or its production. In fact, a full rebrand can be like starting another business. How to execute a rebrand? To avoid confusing customers, best practice states to transition gradually. For stakeholders, you can announce the transition in the form of an email, mailed letter or company newsletter. For the rest of your audience, implement strategic social media and website updates informing them of your company’s changes. Having a big brand rollout can be an exciting way to garner attention for your business and talk about your unique services, so generate as much buzz as possible wherever your #brand is both online and in person. Phone banking is still a hot topic and the debate over whether it's worth the trouble remains heated. Why, might you ask? Traditional phone banking has been deemed dead by some marketing strategists. How many times have you not answered your phone because you assumed it would be a sales call? As a society, we have been trained to dismiss phone banking due to an oversaturated, unconcentrated approach from many marketers time and again. What is the remedy? Invest in a tar...geted outreach approach. Similar to the door-to-door canvassing where you don’t knock on every dooryou don’t cold call everyone either. Assess your potential contacts and determine your target demographic and audience from that list. From there, craft a tailored proposition specific to those on your call list. Calling, sending cold emails, or direct mailing to gain new clients or supporters can still be an effective method if done with the right techniques. For instance, when it comes to direct mail, implement a quality design and disregard the bait and switch tactic. Instead, be approachable in your content and design so you don’t end up drowning in a sea of direct mail ad piles that inevitably end up in the trash. In short, the debate over phone banking remains a relevant topic because there is still significant success to be found in it if done with concentrated initiative. Rather than playing a numbers game that many marketers lose, provide a proposition in your phone banking and mailing efforts that is tailored to your specific contacts to gain new clients or supporters and increase success rates. Make your product and service easily accessible for your audience. 2. Engage your audience with consistency. That entails a strong social media presence with scheduled posts containing quality content. Although your posts should be consistent, switching up the type of content can be an effective way to keep your audience interested. For example, one post can be about a market trend and another can be an intriguing story about your company. 3. Create a style of storytelling unique to your brand.
