Congratulations to Jojo for being awarded the very first Panther Pride Senior Athlete Award! He has played many sports at Prospect including baseball! Well-deserved!
And finally, our 9th senior and co-captain, Ketan! Coaches said this, "Quiet, smart and leads by example, total student of the game and dedicated to his craft." "Skilled at all positions and a 4 year Varsity started as a catcher that knew how to work with the pitcher to get the batter out." Coaches awarded him the California Baseball Coaches Award for Prospect High School Senior of the year for Outstanding Leadership. Ketan-wishing you all the best!
Jackson, co-captain, is senior #8! The coaches agree-"he is a talented player with a drive for excellence on and off the field." "This lefty was always thinking about how to get the batter out or how he should have or could have gotten each batter he faced." Good Luck to Jackson!
Connor is our 7th Senior! Coaches all agree-"This guy is a killer pitcher and could tell he had a killer instinct on the mound." "His business is outs and your could always tell by the serious and focused look on his face he was giving 100% to the game and his team!" Connor-Good Luck!
Senior #6-Joshal! Coaches liked him because "he keeps things loose and 'shows up' when the moment calls on him." "The most laid back player ever had the pleasure of coaching and this guy just does his thing so don't try to figure it out!" Good Luck Joshal!
Our 5th senior, James! According to the coaches-"His hard work paid off!" "Most improved player over the 4 years at Prospect and it showed when he applied the lessons from the coaches!" James-wishing you the best!
On to Senior #4, Joseph aka Jojo! Coaches agree: "Hardest worker on the team! Returned to baseball on a short, steep learning curve to bring back skills not used since Little League and he really worked hard to be on the team!" Good luck Jojo!
This is senior #3, Brandon! This is what coaches said about him: "He is easy going and hard-working player and teammate," "Just a great kid," "A quality guy who cares about others," and "He has the attitude all coaches are looking for-always trying to get better." Wishing Brandon all the best!
Next senior to highlight is Jacob! Coaches highlighted about him was that he was "teachable and coachable" and always showed his "willingness to with others as well as for others" on the team. Good Luck Jacob!
We are featuring our seniors with quotes from the coaches. We are starting with Randy: "Versatile to play almost anywhere. Randy was a workhouse on the mound for Prospect in this year's pre-season. But his Metallicarocks email never made sense to the coaching staff!" Wishing Randy the best!
Today would have been Senior Game for these 9 amazing gentlemen. This team of 14 players is going to miss these young men. It is a small but mighty roster. Their season was cut short after 8 1/2 games (one game ended halfway due to rain) but they were well on their way to a fun season! This was going to be "Their House." Many of these players have played together since they were 5 years old and have friendships on and off the baseball field. We will profile each of them this week as well. We are proud of them and we wish them the best on their next adventure! https://drive.google.com/open
