City Attorney Mara Elliott maintains a secret list of dishonest police known to have lied on the stand and falsified police reports. These are crimes and grounds for firing. So why hasn't Ms. Elliott started prosecuting them? The police work for us. And so does the City Attorney. Send Mara Elliot a message letting her know the public expects her to do her job and prosecute dishonest police. http://bit.ly/take-action-sdpolice

"San Diego is a people-focused city now in danger of losing its identity to the mindless, breakneck mega-growth decisions engulfing the place we all call home. In-fill housing, double-decker granny flats, Airbnb rentals, towering high rises, and boat parking lots are choking the city. Neighborhoods are becoming over-stuffed dot-com destinations rather than desirable places to live. San Diego and its environs are in fragile condition.... There are more people, but less open space. More traffic, but less transit. More carbon footprint, but fewer green-friendly parks and walking paths. More development, but less architectural thought and more downed trees." We need to elect independent, unbought officials who will fight for the needs of our communities and our environment -- not the donors and special interests that drove us into this precarious position.

Dianne Feinstein represents one of the bluest states in the union. She is a senior member of the caucus with extensive clout and enviable committee assignments. She has no business being conflicted over next year’s Senate race in Maine, nor publicly vouching for Susan Collins’s credentials as a good senator ... that Feinstein believes being a good senator is compatible with abetting the upward redistribution of wealth, the gutting of federal civil rights enforcement, a...nd the rollback of reproductive autonomy betrays an almost nihilistic indifference to the stakes of partisan conflict. Ostensibly, in Feinstein’s view, Collins’s friendliness with her colleagues should count for more than the material consequences her voting record has had for the Democratic Party’s most vulnerable constituents. http://nymag.com//dianne-feinstein-isnt-sure-she-wants-sus

The now-approved Cisterra Development office park at Del Mar Mesa Preserve will result in a loss of habitat that will directly affect the preserve and its role ...as a wildlife corridor, enable an increase in invasive species, and further "bite" into the vanishing wildlands in our city. And how does this project aid the city in reaching its Climate Action Plan goals? It doesn't. Former club president Tommy Hough comments on how we are strangling our remaining islands of conservation, and in doing so, strangling ourselves. See more

Remember this travesty the next time Chris Ward and Jen Campbell attempt to posture as environmentalists. Cody Petterson lays it bare.

The bottom line: a health insurance system that allows corporations to profit off of human suffering is immoral. That is why we must pass Medicare for All, end the disgrace of a profit-driven health care system and save lives.
