With CAPs to follow the next week & Tball the following week. We have many protocols in place to remain safe. Once it’s your turn to open, your coaches wil let you know when, where, & how. Please follow all the rules & stay safe. Great to be back playing baseball again. Can’t wait till we can introduce games.

Attention Southwest Little League families. As we are still awaiting the reopening of the country, the state, the city, the parks & little league. I would just like to inform you of the recent talks about our interrupted little league spring season. It is our goal to continue this season as soon as we are allowed. Hopefully soon. Maybe June, maybe July, maybe August or even into the fall. But whenever that is, our plan in District 42 is to continue the season we started. Ther...e will most definitely be guidelines for us all to follow in order to do so & keep everyone safe but the plan would be to keep the teams as is & continue the spring season which would end with a TOC (Tournanent of Champions) as well as All Stars. With All Stars we would play through district for a disitrict champion & quite possibly maybe even a regional SoCal champion. But either way we want to have All Stars. Depending on when we can start will depend on when we can end the season which will determine if we have a fall season or if this season runs into the fall & we forgo a fall season, as we feel that finishing this spring season is the most important as we & all of you & all the players have put so much into it already. I know we all want to finish what we started. Hopefully we will hear soon, as to when all this can continue & as we learn new information we will let all of you know. Thank you for all your patience in this matter & continue to be safe & stay home if possible & keep your loved ones near. Can’t wait to see the fields filled with players & families enjoying baseball again. Thank you. See more

Little league is officially canceled until at least May 11 as of now. California District 42 Little League Chula Vista American - Chula Vista National -... Eastlake - Imperial Beach - Luckie Waller - Park View - Sweetwater Valley - South Bay - Southwest Ernie Lucero - District Administrator Coronavirus #3 Update Dear District 42 Parents and Players: This release is to update you with the District 42 suspension of league activities. As you know, current events involving the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continue to develop and change rapidly in our country and our region. In alignment with Little League International recommendations, we are suspending Little League activities through May 11, 2020. Player and community safety continues to be our top priority. As previously communicated, NO little league activities will be allowed at any of our leagues. This includes any practices, regular games, make-up games, or social gatherings. All of our league presidents have been contacted, and we will continue to provide information and guidance to them as we receive updates from local agencies and Little League International. We recognize that this is the heart of the traditional Little League season, and we share in the great disappointment that many are feeling surrounding this additional pause in the 2020 season. However, it is our hope that by doing this, we will all play a small, but important part in flattening the curve in the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Should you have any specific questions, please refer them to your local league. We thank you for your understanding and your assistance as we work together as a community to deal with this. We encourage you to share this information with parents and membership of your league to ensure they are up-to-date and informed. Important District 42 Update! With the growing concern amid the coronavirus threat and out of an abundance of caution, District 42 will suspend all Little League activities at all of our leagues. This suspension will begin tomorrow, Friday 3/13, and will last for one week. The suspension covers all little league activities: no practices, games, or picture days will be held during this time. We will evaluate the situation with the leagues at the end of the one-week period an...d determine further action. This decision was made to protect our members. District 42 staff consulted with all league presidents and with Western Region Headquarters. Many other leagues across the state, country and world are being asked to suspend activity as we all work through the coronavirus pandemic. We encourage you to share this information with parents and membership of your league to ensure they are up-to-date and informed. We will continue to monitor and let you, our District 42 families, know of updates as they become available.
