Partnering with alcohol-serving establishments (bars, clubs, restaurants, etc.) to prevent sexual violence comes with its unique challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic as many of these establishments look different than they did prior to the pandemic. However, prevention in these environments is critical to community safety, both for patrons and for staff. What prevention looks like has shifted as contexts have shifted in the last year, making community input and... leadership, especially in nightlife and alcohol-serving establishments, even more important. Join PreventConnect on this web conference highlighting efforts in New York that examine and advance alcohol-serving establishments’ sexual violence prevention policies and that disseminate and evaluate social marketing campaigns aimed at nightlife. Presenters will also share how they ground their work in equitable, anti-oppressive practices.
