Precious Life Infant Care Center is seeking an experienced Infant Care Director for our program. Precious Life Infant Care Center serves infants birth-2 years of age. The center is not open to the public and only enrolls infants whose mothers are residing at Precious Life Shelter. At Precious Life Infant Care Center, we provide more than daily care for infants, we are a part of the life changing journey that mother’s at Precious Life Shelter have embarked on. The mother is he...re because she chose to create a better life for herself and her baby and the staff at Precious Life Infant Care are a big and important part of this story. The Infant Care Center is located onsite of Precious Life Shelter to provide our mom’s the convenience and relief of quality care for her child as she works or attends school to secure a better future. We work hand in hand with the shelter program to help our residents through their own personal journey. The center is licensed to be open from Monday through Saturday from 5 am- 11 pm. The center can operate at unconventional hours for a ECE program because we are open based upon the mother’s weekly work or school schedule. Flexibility is a must as our mother’s work schedules may not always be steady. They are working on creating a better life for herself and her baby and we are here to provide a safe and loving environment for her baby as she does this. Our center is unique and one of a kind and has seen so many success stories with the support that we provide to the mothers and babies. General Job Description The Center Director reports directly to the Precious Life Shelter Executive Director. The Director will oversee the daily running of the Infant Care Center. This includes but is not only limited to: Follow Title 22 requirements and maintain compliance at all times Oversee and Implement safety regulations Weekly Scheduling based on the work/school schedules of the mothers Attend monthly staff meetings Hiring/training of teachers Communicate with Precious Life Shelter Case Manager over the health and safety of the enrolled infants Education/Experience Minimum of 12 ECE units PLUS 3 units in infant care AND 3 Admin units Preferred AA or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development or related field 1-3 years of prior experience as a Director in a state licensed facility

Join us on November 7 at our Pop Up Holiday Boutique! We are taking all the precautions needed to make this event safe for everyone. Social distancing will be required. Face masks will be required and must be worn at all times. The majority of the event will be outdoors with the exception of our Toy Sale.... This Toy Sale will be the only one we have this year. Lots of great, brand new toys. The Toy Sale area will be limited to a few shoppers at a time to keep everyone safe. A time limit in the Toy Store will also be imposed to give everyone an opportunity to shop our great selection. Don't miss out on all the Holiday decor that we will have available. Lots of great items to make this Holiday so much more special this year. There will also be a lot of good options to shop for those in your life who enjoy purses and jewelry! Or treat yourself to great items! We hope to see you there on November 7 from 9 am- 12 pm!

We are excited to be a part of the Los Alamitos drive thru Trunk or Treat event this year. A big thank you to Los Alamitos Recreation for organizing this event and taking the necessary steps to keep everyone safe in this time. Please help us make this event a success by donating candy. This past weekend was the third annual Serve Los Al event, hosted by Los Alamitos, California. This year, our own Orange County GM Ken Vecchiarelli led a team in painting the Precious Life Thrift-Gift Shop. Thank you, Ken, for making a difference and supporting our community.
