Toothy Tuesday Tip Diet is critical to your childs risk of cavities. As Pediatric dentists, we are less concerned about what your child eats and more concerned with how often your child is eating. Snackers and grazers are at a greater risk of cavities than people who eat at designated meal times. This is especially true with drinks. Try to encourage your kiddos to keep beverages like soda, juice, sports drinks and even milk to meal times. Kiddos should only drink water in between meals. Here... are a few changes you can expect: Paperless check-in Prior to arriving new paperwork related to COVID-19 and updated health history must be completed on-line COVID-19 pre-screening questions upon arrival. You and your child must wear a mask prior to entering the building. No additional visitors will be allowed to accompany the child during their visit. Guardian and patient only. Playhouse, iPads, books and balloons temporarily suspended/closed. Increased frequency of surface disinfecting. Dear Families of Powell Pediatric Dentistry, In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the California Dental Association (CDA) has recommended that all dental offices in the state of California close for the next 14 days. Beginning Monday, March 16, and continuing over at least the next 14 days, we will be limiting dental visits to emergency care only. If you have a scheduled appointment, we will be in touch with you to notify you of the cancellation. ... When the CDA recommends that California dental practices resume normal operations, we will contact you to reschedule. As always, if your child has a dental emergency, you will be able to reach an emergency on-call doctor by calling our regular office phone number. This decision was made after reading updated recommendations from the California Dental Association, CDC, and OSHA. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.
