787-ONLY FLEET? Air New Zealand is evaluating a plan to replace its Boeing 777s with 787. The strategic change would see Air New Zealand exit its 15 777s (seven... 777-300ERs and a likely phase out of eight 777-200ERs). The 15 777 withdrawals won’t be fully replaced as ANZ has orders for eight 787-10s. The airline now has 14 787s. In a world where we don’t need the 777-200s, if that’s the way it plays out, we can essentially use that new 787 order as 777-300 replacements, CFO Jeff McDowall said during a results presentation. The 787-10s are due for delivery between 2023-2028. www.forbes.com//air-new-zealand-mulls-dreamliner-only-fle/

It's official! The Coca-Cola sign at the corner of 5th and Bryant Streets is coming down. Coca-Cola no longer wants to pay the rent for the rooftop, so another ...iconic San Francisco landmark is coming down. Change is constant, but this is one that I am going to miss. The sign has been there since 1937. Hoodlums have also recently graffiti'd the building. And there are homeless encampments under the freeway and along 5th Streets. The scaffolding was installed today and they will start taking down the sign on Monday. This is going to be a big job that will block one or two lanes on Bryant Street by the freeway on ramp. See more
