In addition to being a decorated or plastic egg, an "Easter Egg" is an unexpected feature in a piece of computer software or on a DVD, often included as a joke or a bonus. This 4-week series looks at the hidden "Easter Eggs" or prophecies about Jesus in the Old Testament, and what they mean for the Easter story today. Each week connects a specific Old Testament prophecy about Jesus’ death and resurrection with a correlating New Testament passage that explains its significance. By examining the importance of Biblical prophecy and its role in Christian faith, this series uncovers the great rescue plan Heaven had for humanity all alongone Easter Egg at a time.

The new year is a great time to look ahead, but it's also a good time to look back. As we begin 2021, we're going to take the month of January to look at the history, impact, and mission of the church. Hello PCC Family, As we were setting up for our services tonight, it started raining and the wind really picked up. In fact, the Christmas trees onstage and the stage backdrop blew over due to the wind. In light of these developments, there will be no outdoor services for Christmas Eve tonight. Instead, we will be moving all of our Christmas Eve services online. Please join us at pomerado.online.church at 4:30 PM and 6 PM.... We look forward to worshiping with all of you online!

Reminder that we are meeting in the parking lot this Sunday for BOTH our 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM services! This means you have TWO options for in-person services, and we will also be online as always. Join us for a Sunny Sunday, and also for Christmas Eve services too, at 4:30 or 6:00 PM. Dress Warm!

Due to the forecast for rain over the next couple of days, there will be no outdoor services this weekend. In our email two weeks ago, we mentioned the direction we are moving in regards to having services indoors during rainy days. We wanted to communicate it again in hopes that it will help clarify our decision. This past week, San Diego county was still close to moving back up to the purple tier, which would preclude indoor services, indoor dining at restaurants, etc. We l...ook forward to meeting indoors once our county numbers trend further away from the purple tier and move down the red tier closer to orange. We're keeping an eye on these numbers and will let you know when things change. But, in the meantime, indoor services on a rainy day are not an option. There may be different understanding of what church membership means. When we hear the word membership, we might think of country clubs, restaurant rewards, frequent flyer miles, or maybe even getting free samples at Costco (remember those before Covid?). The main idea of being a member of the church means that you are not alone. Having a church home means you have a whole family standing with you in times of need. Our church wants to stand with you as we journey through lif...e together. Many different backgrounds and experiences are represented in our church, but it is critical that we all move together as one body! For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Good morning! This is a quick reminder that our onsite service times are changing this weekend. We will meet in the parking lot Saturday at 4 PM and Sunday at 9 AM for this upcoming season. A few Saturdays ago, we joined 97 other churches who came together at 56 different sites to pray for the schools, administrators, teachers, staff, students, and parents across San Diego county. There were over 3,000 people who participated and prayed whether online or in-person. Here's a quick video from the event.
