We are looking for an experienced owner. Chance is a 2.5-year-old male, he is a very sweet, playful, toy driven and will do anything to get a squeaker!! He is good around kids of all ages. He gets along with other dogs his size, NO small dogs. Chance can be protective of his family so letting him approach new people will be important. He loves to swim, walk, and being with his pack. He is kennel trained, house-trained. NO cats for this boy! If I sound like your boy, plea...se go to http://www.sngsr.org/steps-to-adopting.html and fill out all applicable forms. The rescue suggests obedience training for ALL puppies and dogs. Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog and supporting Sierra Nevada German Shepherd Rescue in our efforts to save lives!

Why NOT to breed your GSD... Are you a respected breeder who does their homework and puts hours of work and research in to make sure you breed sound and healthy GSD's? Is your dog a registered AKC GSD?... Why do you want to breed? Have you every cared for a litter of puppies? Do you know the GSD is in competition with Pit Bull's at all the shelters? Are you equipped to screen every adopter, home check, references, making sure they own their home or are allowed the breed? Are you willing to guarantee your puppies, vet them and always take them back, no questions asked? Did you know the majority of ppl shouldn't own a GSD? Did you know good GSD'S are being euthanized daily because they are to many there? Did you know I'm contacted at least 10 times a day to help save a GSD or to take it for them because they moved, don't have time, yard us to small, weren't supposed to have it, don't want to train it, are allergic or let's see oh they SHED! Please do not breed your dog. Their are plenty that need homes. Go to Petharbor and do a search within 200 miles of where you live if you don't believe me. I own a rescue and 4 GSD's. We take the messed up ones in that no one took the time to train or oh they wanted a protection dog and didn't know what they were doing so it almost killed someone in their family.
