Changes for 2020! We are excited to announce that Point Reyes Outdoors has merged operations with Blue Waters Kayking! Blue Waters will continue to offer kayak tours and kayak camping trips, and kayak & SUP rentals. Look for expanded tour and rental options in the coming months. For now, winter is a beautiful time to paddle in Point Reyes! Calling all fog fans! It’s true: our guides love a little fog. If there is fog on the bay, that means the winds aren’t too high, which makes for an smoother paddle. Also: the birds and other animals don’t mind a little fog, and we love wildlife viewing on tour. Another bonus? Fog and cloud cover block light and make the bioluminescence appear more vibrant. So, if your tour date comes around and it is misty and foggy, don’t despair. Put on a hat and a jacket and know that it’s... still a great day for a tour. #repost @jet.rucks What a delightfully foggy evening for kayaking @point_reyes_outdoors ....................................................................................."Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole. First the sun sets, then it’s #bioluminescence time on Tomales Bay on moonless nights like this weekend. This Sunday (April 7th) is looking like an excellent evening for paddling and for viewing bioluminescence and we have a few open spots on our tour that starts at 7pm. See the link in our bio to sign-up or call our office on Sunday at (415) 663-8192. We’d love to take you out on the water to wrap up the weekend.

We’re expecting rain and wind this weekend, but we know there are clear and calm days ahead. Check out our calendar (link in bio) for upcoming tour dates. These folks went out last weekend (after a little instruction on land) to check out the bioluminescence. Winter is also a great time for daytime paddles on Tomales Bay or Drakes Esteroquieter than summer and great for checking out wildlife! We can even go camping if you don’t mind cooler temperatures. Thanks to our guide @jet.rucks for the pictures. (And thanks to our guide Brett for teaching everyone about about the kayaks & paddling.) #tomalesbay #pointreyes #pointreyesnationalseashore #bioluminescence #bioluminescentkayaking @ Miller Boat Launch
